Blind teleportation

Idk if this is ever explained, and forgive me if it is. But how does the institute get into vault 111? Sure Kellogg and Institute staff teleported in. But did they just blind teleport in? Ballsy considering they could have teleported someone partially into a wall or a container.

They only blind teleport that SS onto the roof of mass fusion. Which would be a lot easier than the underground vault. I guess they probably had schematics.

Maybe that's just how science works. Idk. I like to think it was just that it important to get Shaun.

Roof od Mass Fusion would not be exactly blind considering how many synth teams get deployed around the Commonwealth.
Good chance they have a pretty good fix on coordinates of most places in the city as well.

Newer areas which have been developed would be more a problem for them unless they had managed to get scouts into them to relay details of the layout.

This is just speculation on my part but I think at least part of the institute was in cahoots with vault tech through funding. Barring that idea there's the possibility they found a pipboy somewhere though I find that less likely.

I doubt its a challenge for them to override a Vault doors controls and open it up.

They opened the door, walked in, and then walked out and closed it.
