Blink/teleport

I was wondering how this power is going to work, you do the shout and end up where? is it a set distance? am i going to always end up against a wall when i shout? will there be a cool teleport animation? I think there should be some way to control distance, not just a set distance it teleports you. it would be cool if you could teleport up in the air, on top of a house.

How do you think teleporting is going to be handled/controlled?

P.S PLEASE KEEP THE DISCUSSION ON THIS ONE POWER

Only thing that I could think of was how Fable 2 did it.

I think it'll be a limited distance, i think one of the articles may have mentioned "short", sight dependent teleports.

An example would be, your thief has infiltrated a castle and sneaks into a internal courtyard area, in order to bypass a set of guards he blinks to the second story mezzanine.

That sort of thing

Hopefully like Shadowrun.

The game wasn't noticably great overall, but it's powers were pretty cool, one of the main ones being a "teleport" spell you could cast.

Teleport basically insta transported you 8-10m in the direction you were moving/facing (if you were jumping backwards but facing forward for example and teleported you would teleport backwards).

This worked through floors and walls too - you could teleport onto the floor above you by looking up in the direction you want to teleport and moving forward. Was pretty intuitive.
