Blocking perk

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 4:25 pm

There is a perk in the blocking tree, where time slows down if you block a certain attack.. Is there really any point in doing that? How should i use this on a tactical level? I grabbed that perk but those time i have succeeded i just find it rather anoying that time slows :P

Any advice on this would be awesome! :)

For me it lets me know when to counter-atack. After doing a power atack they are usually vulnerable to retaliation, also, it gives me time to back up, and sometimes the slow time lasts quite a while, giving me the opportunity to evade the power blow and land a few hits myself. Remember that you move faster in slow time than they do

its not a must but is usefull more at lower lvls that (quick reflexes) + move faster with shield (block runner) is fun ;D and save stamina on counters

It's incredibly useful. Depending on the weapon, it's not easy to distinguish some power attacks from regular attacks. The slowdown actually queues you in to know that it's time to bash and gives you a bit of leeway on timing. You'll never miss an interrupt on a power attack again unless you're not in range.
