Blood Bowl: Chaos Edition (Start)

I have been having fun (and frustration) with this game the past few days. Has anyone else played this game?

It reminds of old time games (not being that new, itself). It is very frustrating, being heavily based on die rolls. I have watched some YouTube videos about how to play and actual gameplay. The Gameplay ones usually have quite a bit of expletives in them

I tried some singular matches and maybe got through one complete one. The rest I rage quit after terrible die roll after terrible die roll. This was before I watched videos. Determined to do better, I watched the videos and came back to try a campaign, choosing the Human Team (a fairly vanilla team). I think I was in the 4th or 5th tournament when I finally deleted the save and figured I'd start another. Most of the time, I lost, even to 2 Halfling teams (arguably the worst teams) and had one 3-0 win against the Elves!

This is a very bloody Amercian Football/Rugby (kind of) based game. I have had matches where I no longer had 11 players on the field  I had to release one of my players because he had a broken neck! Another one has s smashed ankle, yet still plays for me  I think 2 or 3 of my own players have actually died on the field.

I watched cKnoor's great videos, but his "win 2-1" and "box" strategies I just can not seem to implement with any success.

Anyway, how about a thread for tips, strategies, and comments? (I certainly could use them!)
