Blood men

Post » Fri Sep 16, 2011 3:59 am

Watching the lonesome road trailer (again) and cant help notice the blood men. Their armor looks like it's patched together with legion and ncr armor. I know the ncr has people stuck in there and i wouldnt be suprised if caesar sent some men out their too, but why would they wear each other's armor on theirs? They dont seem to be feral, so could they've joined forces? What are your thoughts?

Possible. But wouldn't it hurt ALOT to rip off your old clothes just to put on different armor, I mean they are made completely of exposed muscle. :pinch:
Speaking of the muscle, they could be troopers/ legionaires sice it looks like its from weathering, not radiation, so they must be recent right.

completely possible.......

if that is the case, i wonder if the divide will have a timer on it before you become a bloodman if it is caused by the weather.....

sorry if i cannot explain myself well, but i'm not english...so...they have no more skin...that meansno more touch sensibility...the could shurely be hurted by a bullet in the chest, but i don't think they could even feel the clothes on their non-skin. :spotted owl:

To be honest. If you took two of the most powerful rival armies, threw them together in an earthly hell trapped. I'm sure at some point, whatever standard you believe in, it doesn't mean as much compared to your own survival.

This. The threat of impending death can change you, no matter what you believe in.

They look like red non-feral ghouls to me, they might have been NCR or Legion troops who were changed by the radiation.

Well, on the surface they look like ghouls, but they're not quite the same as far as we can see. The Divide is supposed to be an inhospitable place for life. So assuming it is rad free, their skin was ripped off my the corrosive environment, and they have somehow lived through it. A ghoul is massively induced radiation to the point of altering your cell structure to keep you in a constant state of regeneration muscular speaking, but the skin never fully repairs.

I think on regular humans the winds does nothing permanent but on decaying ghouls yes I believe the exposure has turn them into walking flayed men. - If this is the case, I want a Bolton reference!-

Also I believe most of these men have realized that their all just "human" and trying to survive and buddy up.

Then again its possible the local inhabitants are just preying on whoever comes through and mish mash armour.

All possible.

Ghouls(exept a few like Harold),are the result to the exposition at almost deadly level of radiation...nothing seems to indicate that the divide was made higly radioactive AFTER YEARS the ncr has used it as a passage to the nevada.

Okay, I'm just posting what I think they are. We'll all know for sure in just under a week.

I wonder if there are any "normal" humans in the divide, I don't believe I saw any of the "Divide Dwellers" in the trailer, except for these blood men and those lizard creatures. Oh and by normal people I mean people you can interact with and who aren't hostile to you.

Also notice that a few inhabitants still have their skin from the trailer(Saw a raider like woman with rockets red Glare(Unless that is the PC)). So its possible that regular humans are living here too.

Throwing a few things out. The courier, or some human seems to have red arms in the trailer when he/she is next to Ulysses. This may mean you can become somewhat like a blood man due to the storms. Also Johnathan Nash hoped a storm from the Divide would "Skin [Ulysses] alive" Maybe there is some truth in that.

No dude. There is a dialogue line that Johnson Nash says 'I hope a storm from the Divide skins him alive' referring to Ulysses for cancellling on the job to deliver the Platinum Chip.

I think that is just the rooms lighting making you look red.

Ghouls(exept a few like Harold),

Harold isn't a ghoul he is a mutant.

Lol no, I'm aware Ulysses is an African American npc with skin intact. I'm just saying maybe storms CAN rip Divide inhabitants' skin off from what Nash said.
