I like how you guys make fun of this, its a lot more realistic than a "red border" and obviously you're supposed to assume blood splattered on your face or even in your eyes. I'm sure getting stabbed/slashed or stabbing/slashing someone is bound to do this occasionally.

At which time you will instinctively blink/wipe it away.

From a meta prespective, seeing as TES characters do not have eye lashes ...

I like it though I also saw water do the same thing when someone walked under a waterfall.

What does eye lashes have to do with blinking? Or are you talking about eyelids? Which incase you didnt know, they do have in TES, or else no one would be able to have closed eyes, which they do (when theyre sleeping etc)

Which is why it fades. Besides, these are video-games. I love story and realism as much as anyone. But at the same time, they need to have a way to let the player know they're damaged, and it also disorients you a bit, something I like in COD cause it makes getting hit that much more hazardous. Its nothing more than an evolution of the damage indicator and healthbar (in some games)

I'm fine with a little blood on the screen as long as it doesn't harm your vision. I can understand that some blood can splash on your face but pouring a jar of jam all over it is just annoying.

Dude, everyone knows jelly flies around Everytime someone gets hit, its a fact of life, deal with it.

I've seen plenty of my own blood. I've never had spots in my eyes like a windowpane on a rainy day, and if I did, when I blinked, they'd go away

Isn't this just a minor detail in - what is expected - to be an amazing game? Correct me if I'm wrong, but you'll be able to see if you can turn it off when it releases, doesn't seem like something which is relevant enough to splatter our minds with a month before release.

Have you ever had someone slice your chest with a sword?
Well I haven't but I think it is safe to assume that if it did happen at least some blood would end up in may face.

Wow.. Just.. Oh man..

*Faith in humanity lost*

I cant even imagine why someone would respond to/take that post seriously in any serious manner..

And lol @people who think youl get blood in your eyes because you get a wound? Get real please.. At best youd blink or wipe it off as soon as its in, its a ridiculous feature and quite stupid to be honest. Makes the game feel very arcade'ish aswell, which is Bad.

in the defense of COD, its in tiers, more and more blood gets on your screen the more damaged you are. Its meant to disorient you to an extent. (as I'd think someone being shot with a bullet would be) and its also a health indicator.

"Blood on the screen" is not supposed to be realistic. It is just supposed to illustrate the sense of touch visually. Because we cannot feel games, it just helps you realize, "Hey, I am getting hurt."

I don't mind it at all, except in MW2 when it just covers your screen to such an extent where you actually cannot see. Just a little red is fine for me.

I once cut my finger with paper, accidentally, blood didn't splurt in my eyes either. So I agree, Bethesda don't know what they're talking about. You and I, man.. we know.

how else are you going to tell your health? I mean you can look at your health bar but I don't ever do that, I don't know about you guys.

actually you are kinda right, the bloody screen could help to tell how much health you have left if you disable HUD

I dont really care though I dont think it is too intrusive and I am getting it for PC so if it does get on my nerves I can mod it out

Hell no! Bethesda clearly made working replicas of all weapons ingame and went on to dismember their employees with them just so they could get the blood splatter just right for each weapon!

In all seriousness, it would be neat if you could turn it off. Blood on my sword is nice, blood in my eyes is just freaky.

why would you ever hope for a feature to NOT be in the game? That is nothing less than idiocy. If you have the option of turning something on and off everyone wins.

Rumor has it that if you're a Nord, after 3 hours of gameplay(could be 4, I guess it differs) you will be ambushed by an homo-erotic band of thiefs who will have there way with you for 6 real life hours.

Doesn't sound like a satisfying feature. Well, unless you're into that stuff.
