Is the the blood spattering in my eye? Is there a camera lens in a medieval fantasy game? Why is my character looking through a glass plate? It just doesn't make sense, and pulls me out of the realism. I know there are mods to remove blood, but I don't have a problem with blood, just the loss of immersion by putting my blood on a fake screen that has no business being between me and the game and makes me feel like I'm watching cinema verite and not actually there.
