Okay, so I just found out that the West parents are dead, and Lucy West wants me to find Ian, her brother. However, the guy defending the town gave me like 3 different locations where "The Family" may be. Where should I go?

Well, there are goodies to be found at all the locations that the guy (can't remember his name at the moment) gave you.
There's a tunnel access manhole in NW Seneca Station. This will lead you straight to them. I have buddies in NW Seneca, don't kill them. If you are further north, you can find them through Meresti Station.

To all of them. The whole point of the game is to explore after all. In one of those areas, someone will show you the way, plus there'll be a shortcut that will get you to where they are. You'll have to fight something first though.

:spotted owl:

Generic advice if I ever saw any. :)

And if you take shortcut, be sure to take your Rad-X first.

Yeah well, I don't want to spoil his fun. Exploring is half the fun of the game.

And bring some Sugar Bombs if you go that way. They have a sweet tooth over there, and pay good caps for the stuff.

If your Medicine is high enough (I think it's Medicine, anyway), you'll figure out the direct route yourself. :D Ah, he joy of pathology! (ahem)

Anyway, the locations are fairly near each other, not clear across the map, so at least you don't have to fight through lots of encounters to check them out.

Be ready to bounce back and forth, though, and possibly deal with a bugged quest (this quest is known for being buggy).

Okay, so I explored the Hideout and killed a lot of scorpions and stuff and got to this door that requires a key which I cannot find. Is there anything here or should I just go to the station and ignore this?

All the good stuff is behind that locked jail door. You need to get the key from Three Dog.
