Post » Sat May 28, 2011 5:16 pm

looks awesome. Another to watch along with pistoleros enclave mod.

EDIT: Need a tester gimme a holler AKA PM. Just looking at number 14 has me terrified of what you have here

EDITEDIT: Also on the foods and such, id like to see seeds, plantable at your home in collectable pots and such, maybe fertilizer and various fruits and veges.

How the hell have I not already seen this? Beyond awesome... this looks to be potentially one of the best mods for FO3 ever made.

Hiya,

Thanks for the props guys,

I`m working on adding the story and scripted events at the moment.

I`ll add you to the list for Best Testers, so thanks for the offer.

There are various fruit and veg seeds and a seed extractor, you plant them in the field not in a pot though. Fertilizer is not a requirement.

So far there are Apples, Oranges, Strawberries, Potatoes, Corn, and Tomatoes, with planned addition of Sugar cane.

The food will be used to restore health, make money or to distill alcohol.

Take care

This looks amazing, ive been watching this thread for a couple of days now and decided to finally comment, the pictures and videos look great and im really excited to try this, i can barely wait for the release :), just one question though, after the quest will you be able to keep the house >_>? lol, also i doubt you'll have any problems finding testers, but if you need another tester i'd be glad to help :D, if not i'll just wait for the final release :). Keep up the good work! =D

I don't know why, but after I saw the chain saw scene, it reminded me of Ash from "Evil Dead"

Hiya Guys.

Thanks for posting.

@ Esanthus: Glad you caught the intention. Yeah, this mod does pay tribute greatly to the Evil Dead triliogy, check this screenie for an obvious tribute: http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/2113/screenshot493y.jpg

@ dragoonofdeath: I cant say too much about who made the 14 without spoiling the story, sorry buddy, but yes someone did make them.

@ Joshuaw34: Thanks Buddy, I`ll add you to the list for testers. And yes, you keep the house after the quest, but that point you will have access to all of the features it provides.

Take care

Reminds me of FEAR(yes, I'm Mr Captain [censored] obvious). Which is a good thing in my book since I love FEAR.

For such scenes like in the video:
Instead of disabling player control you could do a few other things as well(maybe from time to time to mix it up), instead of Disableplayercontrols.
you could use "SetGlobalTimeMultiplier" to really slow down everything to a crawl, if the girl was then still teleporting around, she wouldnt really be affected by this, if you set the timing right.
Or maybe use imod to apply some nasty dark red ISFX while a sequence like that is running.

Great ideas Kai, I`ll bear them in mind. I do want to add another few layers of visual and sound.

Although, I want to pay trubite to FEAR. Not directly copy it, if you know what I mean.

For now though, a little update, I`ve being rebuilding all the forset areas with a greater depth of detail and using the new destructable/loggable trees I`ve made. Now every tree that you can reach you can cut down with the chainsaw.

Here`a a few screenies of the new trees and forest look.

This may be my last update before Christmas.

So a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah to you all and have a great new year!

Takec are

Can never have a horror out near the country side unless you have the eerie, foggy forest clearing, eh? :P

Looks promising Skykappa.

Those trees came out great, this is going to the next hot spot for the people that love scenic places to take pictures of their characters :D

I am so excited about all the neat things we will be able to do. It isn't one of those homes that you go into, dump your things and then leave again. This is going to make me want to enjoy my stay, do some fishing and farming for dinner and chop wood for a cozy fire. I know I am going to be scared during the whole quest, but that is what will make the home that much better when it is done, cause I will feel that I really earned it

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year Skykappa

Great screens, again, this is going to be a great mod, and if you need testers and I'm available, I can see if I can help test it. In no way it's related to the face I really, really, really want to play this asap.

That little girl reminds me of Alma from F.E.A.R. Scary!

Good job so far with this mod. It looks like it's going to be really good. Really can't wait to try it out! :)

Happy New year to all!

I personally hope I have a far better year than last and I hope you all do to.

I`ve been away for the holidays, so thats why no posts. Thanks for the comments guys and keeping th thread going.

Work is still proceeding of course. All offers for testing, i will be kept on record for later, and thank you very much.

At the moment I`m working on a few different things; Enemy AI, i.e Getting them to attack the windows, doors and boards ect. A few Bink videos for cutscenes, and I`m toying with the idea of making the shack a fixer upper, with a few different wallpaper and curtain combinations to choose from after the story is finished to create a unique look for your version of the shack. I may leave that one for a future update though.

For now though, a few more stills.

Thank you SkyKappa! I hope yours is as well :D

Wow, that first picture is creepy *hides*!

Omg I will bow down to you and worship the ground you walk on if you make the shack a fixer upper! Wow, I really love your ideas, please take your time, and even if I have to wait for an updated version for the fixer upper feature, I am still going to try this out in the first release :hubbahubba:

Morning to all.

You hit the nail on the head, she is indeed a cross between Alma and the L4D Witch as was my intention.

I decided to go with the fixer upper idea, it didnt take that long.

Here`s a few of the available looks for the walls, I haven`t done the curtains yet.

http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/458/screenshot534.jpg <<<< broken link. see next post down.

http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/5880/screenshot540.jpg

Also a bit of a video/news update. I managed to get creatures to appear to attack the windows and boards and force entry inside, if the player is in the house (similar to L4D again). The creature in the video doesnt represent the final version though ;-)

Happy New Year SkyKappa,

The pictures and video look fantastic! I love how you combined your destructible materials with the shadows rushing in - wonderful effect!

Good luck with this, I look forward to playing it. :)

The wallpaper pictures 1 and 3 look great, but the wallpaper 2 one, I get a 404 error :( The video... all I can say is WOW! Not even safe in our own homes :D Amazing job as always!

I shall start bowing down and worshiping the ground you walk on now, cause you went with your fixer upper idea! Thank you very much :hugs:
