[WIP] A Bloody Harvest

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:27 pm

Thanks odd.bod, Miss Sparkle and M. I excited to finish and let everyone play it.

Sorry about image 2, dont know what happened there, imageshacks fault :-)

Here`s another link for that image:

http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/6537/screenshot535.jpg

And a new wallpaper I made today. I`ve tried to pick designs I felt fitted in with the atmosphere and they are all a little kitch to be honest, especially this one:

http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/3899/screenshot549f.jpg

Right now I`m working on some random black and white dream sequences which happen randomly as you sleep whilst the quest is still active.

Take care all,

Skykappa.

Yep.. that 2nd wallpaper is... very 50's. Eagerly awaiting this one, SkyKappa! I'd say please please hurry and get this one finished, but I know you can't rush a masterpiece.

Ahh, nice wallpaper for image 2 :)

Image 4 made me have a question for you. Are you going to have other parts customizable as well? For example, the fireplace wall as options such as a whitish brick, or the rug in a few colors? I only ask cause if not, the white in the wallpaper may look better if it was a bit 'dirtier'.

Sure. The Fireplace is a seperate model to the shack, so I`ll add the option to paint the fireplace white then, it`ll only take a min or two.

Thanks Coleen, 3rd Type, and Andy.

If anyone has a wallpaper they would like to see, send me a link to an image I can work with, and I`ll include it.

I just finished up on the 12 Guage Remington with full barrel and sawed-off versions. You`ll be sawing it off with the chainsaw yourself if you want to Evil Dead style, but you`ll be sacrificing accuracy for projectile spread if you do.

Ohh whitish fireplace would be great (would match the rocking chair very nicely ;) )!

I am spending the time to search for wallpapers that may (or may not) look good for the shack. Of course you don't have to use any of them at all :P But I figured I would post them while I found the one that I wanted.

sixist comment alert........
Spoiler
Miss Sparkle, you only commented on the decor! What about the brand new shiney bookstick!.... Very much like a lady. I joke of course.

I like the red one very much thank you, I`ll go with that one. Reds show up very vividly with the worlds imagespace modifier so I think something like that will suit very nicely.

Take care

Well, in your defense, he may have been trying to type boomstick. I've never heard of a bookstick either, and I'm a guy. :P

Anyway, this is easily my most anticipated mod for Fallout right now. Can't wait until it's finished, it looks awesome.

I just watched the newest video again, and I noticed that the shadow broke through the boards on the window pretty fast. It seems like a bit of a waste to go through all the trouble of boarding the windows just to have them knocked down in a couple seconds. Is there any chance of you making the boards stronger, so enemies can't break in as fast?

Hiya all thanks for posting,

@ odd.bod, Everything is going fine thanks. Right now I`m working on the textures for the ammo and projectiles and scripting the bullet press. I just finished the decorating system, which allows you wallpaper the shack with any wallpaper you find hidden around the worldspace, I have 6 so far, and if you want you can paint the Fireplace white to go with the color scheme. I havent looked at any designs for curtains or rugs yet, but that`s next on the list. I`ll post some more screens when I have a little more time.

@ Gamemastr35 & Miss Sparkle, Yeah I meant Boom Stick, stoopid typo, sorry.

As for making the boards last longer before breaking, I`ve already dealt with that, I just lowered the time taken for the purposes of the video.

@ WanderingRogue, thanks, and I wish buddy, but I`m not nearly as good as a professional and I`m not willing to relocate to USA.

@ General Squee, If Fallout 3 runs ok on your laptop then this mod will too.

That`s all for now folks.

Take care

Evening All.

I hope everyone is well.

Thanks Echonite and Miss Sparkle.

Just a quick update tonight.

You can now repair the windows after the quest is finished, so dont worry about your house being ruined, after that they will now be unbreakable.

Here are some images, image 4 probably being the most interesting

http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/6596/screenshot568.jpg
http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/2151/screenshot569.jpg
http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/2421/screenshot570.jpg
http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/3131/screenshot572.jpg (this is only available after quest completed and it requires a lot of wood and nails, so you`ll have to log a lot of trees to get enough wood and mine a lot of iron to make the nails)

Take care all,

Skykappa

Will you be naming the diffrent wallpappers ? because the way they are with the diffrent numbers is kind of confusing.

You are going to laugh at this, but my favorite thing out of all 4 picture is the paint can. Why? The rust on the lid and the worn out label, it just looks so realistic! I also love the rolls of wallpaper lol

Love the update work so far, keep it up!

P.S. Thank you for the white fireplace!! It came out better than I had hoped for!!! :hugs:

THIS LOOKS EPIC!!!!

My only suggestion, you may or may not have thought about the wildlife in the area...
It MAY have been nicer in that respect if it was in Point Look out due to wildlife already being there.

However what are you planning to do for wildlife in the area?

I was thinking it could be cool if when you had the lights on or not it had a different effect on wildlife at night, like for example if you slept in the bed upstairs with the lights on you may be woken up at a point in your sleep by hearing something crashing around downstairs...
Also maybe the animals might eat your crops? Just an idea.

Really good mod!
