[WIP] A Bloody Harvest

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 5:37 pm

You are going to laugh at this, but my favorite thing out of all 4 picture is the paint can. Why? The rust on the lid and the worn out label, it just looks so realistic! I also love the rolls of wallpaper lol

Same! Forget those guns, it's all about the Shack for me. Must be a girl thing. :P

Skykappa, this looks incredible. If you need help with anything let me know. ^_^

HI All.

Sorry I havent updated the thread in a few days, I`ve been busy with RL stuff.

Thanks to all, for all your comments and keeping the thread going whilst I was gone.

@ Tee Hee. Well one more wallpaper should make you a happy girl then. This one is a wallpaper that Miss Sparkle picked out: Thanks for the offer of assistance.

http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/9491/screenshot602.jpg

@ Joshuaw34. Hi there, things are going fine thanks. Thanks for the compliments.

@ Ashara, Hiya, I hope your well! Thank you very much, that means a lot coming from you.

@ PsympleJester, Thanks buddy! I didnt think of that one, mabye I`ll add something like that in a future update. If I keep adding good ideas to the mod, I`ll never get it released. But, in this mod, you already get woken up by certain events, you also dream.... Bad dreams.

@ dragoonofdeath, Hiya, not sure what your asking? I just made a new worldspace and added stuff to it. I didnt have any trouble.

@ Miss Sparkle. Hiya, thanks, I liked the paint can too. Hope your happy with the new wallpaper you picked out.

@ psychoticprankster, When you pick the roll of paper up, you can clearly see the pattern on it . So I dont think I need to name them, a number should be fine. Thanks for commenting though.

@ Elanthil01, Yep, several phone calls events actually! lol Thanks for commenting.

I added a new weapon, the last one, you get this at the end of the Quest, if you pick the right options. You have to do something quite bad to get it.

http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/3551/psyonicblade.jpg - I may change the red to another color... red looks cool, but its a little `done`.

Also, I made Promo images for most of the weapons, all except the Hunting rifle fitted with a torch. I`m tired so I left it there for the night:

http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/5820/skpsyonicblade.jpg
http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/9383/skpickaxe.jpg
http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/3632/skscythe.jpg
http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/8692/skcleaver.jpg
http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/6518/skhoe.jpg
http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/6112/skchainsaw.jpg
http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/7126/sk12guageremmington.jpg
http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/2384/skaxe.jpg

Now that I`ve finished the last weapon, I`m making a new tileset for an interior I decided to make.

Thats all for now.

Take care all

@ TeeHee:3 - I believe you are right ;) Give us a nice furniture store mod to browse around it, buy items, decorate our home with them and we are happy, so simple lol

@ Skykappa - I am 500% happy with the way that room looks with that wallpaper and the white chimney! Everything blends in so nicely and nothing sticks out to say "Hey! Look at me, only me...wait, why are you looking at me like that... what are you doing with that axe...nooooo!" <--ok, maybe too much, but you get the idea

Are you ready for this? Hope you are sitting down... I love that sword!! When I clicked on the picture, I latterly said "ohh!" and I believe I had a sparkle in my eye :D

A new tileset...new interior  I can't wait to see this!

Good afternoon.

I`ll save the furniture store idea for a future update. There isnt that much variation in the vanilla ingame furniture, so a varied selection would have to be made. For now, you`ll have to be happy with the custom rocking chair. The curtains are finished, theres 3 options there to choose from, I`ll upload a few screens later.

I`m really glad you like the sword, as its my first attempt at designing and making something like that.

I`m working on the new tileset today, its a fairly simple one though, 3 pieces , just a hallway, straight, corner and 3-way. Should have it finished soon enough.

Take care

Oh the furniture mod wasn't a request or anything, it was only a joke to say how our mind works as a woman :P I am pleased with the selection of vanilla items we have to choose from (and if I don't like a color, I will change it myself lol).

Wow! That was your first attempt?!? You really have a natural talent for making things, that is for sure. I am very much impressed and will be as evil as I can just so I win that sword as a reward

Simple or not, I love new tilesets, really makes a mod unique. I love your creative ideas, so I am excited to see the next round of screen shots!

Simple or not, I love new tilesets,

Thanks for the compliments, they are much appreciated.

Here`s a shot of one of the new pieces from the tileset. It doesnt need a top or bottom, as that will be rock. I can use the ingame canyon pieces for that. So imagine it with rock at the top and bottom and it will look something like that ingame, but with more up-lighting from the bottom. Also, there will be highly reflective destructible glass in the railings.

Holy cow Skykappa, do you do your own textures? You really need to be hired, that is the most professional work I have ever seen by someone that mods as a hobby (being completely honest). Now this really makes me wonder what you have in store for us!

Thank you very much! Your keeping me inspired almost single handedly recently.

Yeah I make my own textures. That`s how I started modding FO3, with a Nuka Cola machine texture on the Nexus. I did a ND in illustration and a degree in design about 10 years ago, so texturing is the easiest and most enjoyable part for me. I find 3D modelling to be the frustrating part, I`m much better at getting the results I`m after with Photoshop than with Blender. But I`m getting better with every model.

I would love to texture professionally, but its a competative market that I`m yet to break into.

Take care

 Have Bethesda ever ask you to work for them?

My thoughts exactly!
Seriously, when I watched a couple of the vids, I was thinking, 'Beth could learn a lot from this guy' :)
Thank you for the work you are doing. I can't wait to play it.

And thanks Falcon8204, I`ll add you to the list of testing offers.

@ harmy52. Sorry Buddy, but as you can appreciate, I have all my free time taken up by this Mod. When I`m done, I`ll go back to helping everyone like I used to.And if you still need assistance then, I`d be glad to.

Well, after this project, I suggest you put together a package and start sending them out to the places you are interested in working for, seriously. Anyways, looking forward to the next eye-candy photos you post :hubbahubba:

I'd do anything for you to make us some furniture... but I can wait. I'm sure you're very busy. ^_^

It`s always scary when people say `I`d do anything`. People really shouldnt say that to me. It`s too much power! Besides, they never actually mean `anything`. And sometimes I get the urge to ask. `Ok, well how much is it worth to you!` lol

I already made a new bookcase and a rocking chair, a few more custom pieces wouldnt hurt, but I`ll do that as an update later. Mabye a nice new bathroom and bedroom set.

@ Miss Sparkle.. I just might do that. Thanks!

@ Old Andy.. Good to hear from you Buddy. I hope your doing well. Thanks for the encouragement.

You have so much talent. If you used it to make mods similar to the official DLC's, you would be a God.

Still looking absolute fantastic, Skykappa. Try not to get too caught-up in the little details is my only advice - you can play around with all of that stuff after you've released the meat of the mod itself.

As a side-note, have you considered applying for a game-development position? I've no idea where you live or what your current situation is, but you certainly have a talent and the bodies of work to prove it.

I can't think of a single word in any language to describe how amazing I think your work is. I agree with people who think you'd be good in game development. I think you'd do very well in it. Keep up the great work. :)

I just watched the movie..

fascinating... lots of great stuff, I donno what to say really - -

Having all of those custom objects and textures.. that's so great, and so useful.

In the future I might be asking you for some help with some farm areas that I wanted to exist in Phalanx' Front Royal - - - so like, don't become unreachable and stuff =p

Neat as heck mod, I hope it works aite with Phalanx =p

I am right in saying that this section isn't done yet, right? It came out beautiful as always, but I wonder where the red-ish lighting is coming from? Is that the wall color? I also see no blue light coming from the blue lights placed. I know your work, that is why I suspect that this area is far from complete

I love the reflection of the glass, and if I remember, you said the glass is highly breakable, so it is going to make me tiptoe in there so I don't ruin the beauty!
