I have some ideas I would love to see implemented in the next installment. I have always been interested in blue mage and nature magic
and I believe the magic system could use a more active way to use spells. Here are my ideas
Blue Mage Skill (dont have a name)
Basically whatever spell an enemy uses and hits you, you have a chance to learn it. You will gain access to many types of spells like healing and destruction but will only need one skill slot to use it. The only thing is you will be limited to what creatures use. You could learn hagravens fury a 50 pt fireball spell and healing spells from spriggans and stuff. This system would get rid of simply purchasing spells which I find fairly boring you would actively search for and learn these spells like a true wizard. There could be rare and powerful creatures to search for with unique spells like a black cloud that blinds enemies and does dmage of time.
Druid Skill
I think we need a spell class that focuses on nature, there have been no earth spells or water spells in the latest elder scrolls and I think we need them. I would like to see an earth attack that travels through the ground maybe tremors and vines. A wood pike blast would be cool along with vine barriers. There could be water blasts and water shields maybe acid rain clouds you could shoot and detonate. Wind powers like cyclones and force blasts would be cool as well.
Now for this skill I think you have to learn these spells through time (the higher the skill the quicker the mage will pick up on nature) For example after spending time in the woods maybe there could be a (minigame of some sort or a meditation ability) you will learn some vine the vine spells. being around water would help you to learn water spells etc, maybe you have to read druid books and follow procedures to learn them, like to learn a water blast you have to nearly drown or dive deep under water. To learn nature spells you have to climb a special tree and pick a special fruit and eat it ect.
Finally, I believe some greater spells will need ingredients for example a spell named natures barrier, heals 100 health points and creates a vine circle for 20 seconds you would need a spriggan heart or bark. Maybe to cast a powerful water wave that does area damage and causes 3 second paralysis you would need a pearl.
