Blue Screen Error

Post » Thu Jan 30, 2014 8:22 am

Hi,

I own Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition and am running Windows 8.1 Pro.

I get the following Blue Screen error every few hours while playing the game:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (igdkmd64.sys)

The computer then restarts from this blue screen.

I got the error for the first time when I first got the game. I didn't know all of the controls, and, at one point, I just started pressing random keys; I pressed a lot of keys at the top of the keyboard (Function Keys and number keys, etc.) I'm not exactly sure what I hit but that was when I got the error for the first time.

Any Help?

What is it with 8.1 users mashing random keys and making the game crash? I ask this because this the second thread I have seen on this.

Basically, if you mash a bunch of keys, the game has a tendency to crash.

However, this specific driver error is related to the CPU Graphics (which surprises me you can get the game to run, but other's have, so...) I would update all your drivers, chipset or motherboard, graphics and whatever else there is.

Wait, you are not the second person to have this issue, you were the other one

No need for a second thread on the same problem.
