Blue screen on Oblivion PC

Post » Thu Jun 23, 2011 7:08 am

I've had Oblivion about a week and it's been running fine but I was playing Oblivion for a while today and eventually I needed to find something out on the internet so I exited Oblivion, found out what I needed to and launched Oblivion again. Everything was running fine until I loaded my save game and when it loaded I had a blue screen, I thought I was looking at the sky and pulled the cursor down but it was blue everywhere. The health bars, weapon icon and compass were there I could pause the game, open my inventory and everything but couldn't see anything :(
I thought it may have something to do with me changing the texture size from large to medium hoping the game would run faster while I was inside Oblivion and I got the message saying you need to restart Oblivion for changes to take effect and after I left the realm of Oblivion I changed it back to large teture size and then I exited Oblivion and so on form the top :(

Does anyone know how to fix this problem i'm getting???

DXDiag, please?

Type DXDiag into the Start menu's Search box.

It needs a proper Geforce or Radeon video Graphics Card, just as per the System Requirements.

You've burned it up through overstress and overheat.

Yup, your GPU is most certainly dying. Intel video chipsets are not built for hard gaming and using them for it can cause damage to them. You're going to need a proper GPU for this game.

Unless you own a laptop, then you'll need to consider a new one, as it tends to be quite difficult to upgrade laptops.
