Hi Folks:

Like some other gamers I too have been afflicted with the “Blindness—Blurred Vision Bug.”

“It seemed like each and every time that I would start a new game and go to Concord, to save the idiots, the moment that I would step into the museum (in 3^rd person ) and squat down into “Sneak Mode” a light would come on and I would suddenly have blurred vision.”

I have read in other forums of possible fixes, if you are on a PC, utilizing the console and entering one or both of the following command codes: “rimod 00094636,” if you are using a night or recon scope; or, “rimod 002041b6.” However, neither code worked for me. (The codes worked, just not for me and my issue.)

The “Night and Recon” scopes were also mentioned in these forums as possible culprits for the blurred vision. So, I got to thinking about my game, the scopes that I was using and the mods that I had installed in the game. At the time I was using “Recon” scopes on all available weapons. So, I tried changing scopes, but that didn’t fix the issue either.

It then occurred to me that I had both the “Night Person” and the “Ninja” perks activated. So, I decided to start from scratch and uninstalled the game, as well as the mods from the NMM. While the game was installing I began to go through my mods to see if there any duplicates –similar to one that is already installed—and, mods that somehow influenced ambient lighting—as possible culprits. Once the game and the mods were reinstalled, from scratch, I started a new game—just this morning. I am happy to report that all is well so far. I entered the museum in Concord, squatted into ‘sneak mode’ and all was well.
