Bobbleheads in New Vegas?

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 1:26 pm

Sorry if this has been asked and answered already, but I was wondering if there will be bobbleheads in FONV as there were in FO3?

yeah. sort-of. They are snowglobes in NV. And you can either collect them or sell them for megacaps.

Do we know anything more about the "powers" of the globe? We know they won't nessecarily raise stats, but instead offer a permanent boost elsewhere... Any ideas?

No permanent skill/stat bonuses from them, though.

Yes they do... As has been confirmed in multiple interviews, they don't offer the same boosts to SPECIAL that the bobbleheads did, but still offer permanent boosts of some kind... At this point they haven't told us what those boosts are, although I didn't watch the whole preview yesterday, so I thought to ask if anyone else had seen confirmation of the boosts?

Have you ever looked at a real snowglobe? It's like an elegant diorama illustrating the majesty of winter. It's a little bit of wonder that fits in your hand.

Pointless? Only if you lack a soul.

They didn't say a word about Snow globes in the Preview.

Nope, they have never said that they'd have a permanent bonus of any kind, just that the player would gain some sort of benefit. It may very well be that their only use is as collectibles (decoration for player house) and as items to be sold to Mr. House (2000 caps each).

Maybe if we get all the snow-globes we can put them in an ancient ruins machine floor and the floor opens up down to a lost society of aliens, talking deathclaws, Master and Horrigan,

Is there any confirmation as to how many we'll get?

I think the snow globes will be Great. :) Most especially because they are _Trophies_, not stat bonsues, not skill increases or other forms of free-silly-character gifts. But trophies - pure and simple - for doing cool things. I'm down with that! :goodjob:

They are only collectibles in the game they don't give you any special benefits or something like that. You can keep them in your home or sell them to Mr.House for 2000 caps and there is an achievement where youll need all snow globes to get it.

Thats all about them.

I also believe that theres 20 snow globes in the game

They will not provide a permanent SPECIAL or skill increase such as the bobbleheads provide. Snowglobes are just collectables. No stat increases. You can either display them in your home or sell them to Mr. House for 2,000 caps a piece.

From memory there is a bonus for completing the snowglobe set/collection but as to what it is or does, we just don't know yet.
