Do it all from scratch. Those packs are not supported and do not even have permission to exist. You may want to start from square one now. I had a feeling you used a pack from the fact you got confused easily and were using OBMM, NMM, and Bash.

Do it all yourself, you'll thank yourself in the end. And make sure to use BOSS.

How do I convert OMOD's into BAIN ready archives?

If you have the archive, not the OMOD, it's easy.

Here's a good place to start: http://tescosi.com/wiki/BAIN_Installation

If you just have the OMOD, you'll need to go to the Nexus, PES, or whichever of the main sites has it. Not the ones that aren't supported. But they'll generally be on the Nexus, PES, or TES Alliance. If you can't find them, check the thread on these forums.

I did download a "easy" pack for FCOM. Maybe that's where I went wrong.

Lesson learned: Never try to cut corners with Oblivion modding.

Yup.
There isn't an "easy" pack, or any kind of authorised all in one pack for FCOM.
Lesson learned I hope.

I'm prolly gonna be sorry for even asking this, but there is NO way my existing install can be salvaged, right? Starting from square one is the best idea?

Yep. I think I found the pack you're using over on your other forum spot.

May want to warn folks that the packs cause problems galore or something. Just a thought. Most likely won't listen, but it can't hurt.

You'd be better off. Assemblers of these 'packs' often tweak the install to their own liking, or make inexpert modifications to the files. There's no way of telling that you've got the stable official versions of the plugins and the proper meshes/textures for the mods you're running without painstakingly comparing every file... and that would take you far longer than just doing a reinstall.

Also, using three different guides prolly wasen't the best idea I've had.

Yeah, I don't think I'm quite ready for using BAIN for everything.

I'm just gonna revert back to OBMM because NMM is NOT ready for prime time at all yet.

Mind saying what issues you've got with using BAIN?

Complex mods that don't have wizards or BAIN ready archives mostly. I'll use BAIN if given the option but I have no desire to repackage something like Oblivion XP when it's already ready-to-go for OBMM.

It's not hard at all. It takes maybe 5 minutes per package, to be honest. When done that way, it's going to harder to see compatibility issues and OBMM is definitely not the way to go really.

The best thing to do would be to take some time and make it all BAIN friendly so you can easily see what's going on. It also makes managing installs much easier. It's a one time thing to go through and fix things. It just requires you to take the time to do so. It will lessen the issues you'll get down the road.

I'll give it a shot, then.

Off topic question: is it a good idea to still use QTP3R on a 560ti or could I get away with original QTP3?
