Body Build Discussion and premature anolysis

Hello all.

I was initially thinking of creating a light character as in my limited FPS experience, speed has always appealed to me and I have always preferred to avoid being hit than being able to deal with it.
However, I am perhaps slightly deterred that I would not be able to use anything bigger or more powerful than SMGs. In the main FPS I have played and other ones I have tried, the balanced Assault Rifle was always my favourite class. Aware of the fact that the game is yet to be released, what are your expectations on how weapon classes will limit gameplay and the extent that weapon choice will determine your selection of body type?

As long as I can unleash cages filled with rabid tiger-bunnies upon the unsuspecting enemy, I think my choice of body type will matter little.

I don't know if I can afford to set loose cages of the little tabbits, it was incredibly expensive and painful to arrange the breeding program.

Okay, back on topic; opinions?

We will all have to start as medium bodytype, since other bodytypes will be unlocked on later levels, so when you change to light, you might feel that it simply does not fit you to have SMG or a Long Rifle. This will define your bodytype a lot, because for few levels you will be used on Assaut Rifles and more HP.
BTW: Welcome on the Forumz here is your :turtle:

Light - Smg and snipers
Med - Shotguns and Rifles
Heavy - Tubes and LMG's

Take your pick, they all svck and are each over-powered

It's going to be about finding the right trade off for you between health, movement and weapon choice. If you find that assault rifles suit you best then you'd be best sticking to medium or heavy. If you try light and find that the increased speed and agility really compliments your playing style then you may have to sacrifice AR's for SM's in order to keep the light body type. The good news is you can have 10 characters so you can have a nice mix of body types and abilities to play with.

I'm going to be playing around with EVERYTHING...

But Light will be my preference.

If you're thinking Light because SMART is a novelty feature you want to play with, you'll probably only stick with it long enough to get the hang of the nuances of the system, then go back to medium for your ARs - heavier firepower, but without sacrificing too much freedom.

If you're more concerned with the freedom of movement than the weapon of choice, then a high-accuracy SMG will probably stand-in pretty well for the AR you're missing out on.
