Nothing wrong with SMGs. They're my third favorite type of gun, after shotguns and handguns. And it looks like they'll be able to hold their own against the likes of assault rifles pretty well. And according to the devs SMG's have the best hipfire accuracy, if I recall correctly.

That said, I'm fairly certain that all classes will work well with all body types. Everyone seems to think that Medics should be Heavy and Operatives should be Light, but hopefully those preconceived notions will be dispelled once the game gets up and running.

WTF is a tapir?

A tapir (pronounced /?te?p?r/ "taper", or /t??p??r/ "ta-pier") is a large browsing mammal, similar in shape to a pig, with a short, prehensile snout. Tapirs inhabit jungle and forest regions of South America, Central America, and Southeast Asia. There are four species of Tapirs: the Brazilian Tapir, the Malayan Tapir, Baird's Tapir and the Mountain Tapir. All four species of tapir are classified as endangered or vulnerable. Their closest relatives are the other odd-toed ungulates, including horses and rhinoceroses.

there you are. now you know what tapirs are. the reason they are associated with brink at all is due to the SD forums, and the presence of a tapir emote on said forums.

So Richard Ham just said that everywhere will be reachable by every body type, it'll just take heavies and mediums longer. I'm gonna be a medium more than I thought I would.

I suspected that mediums could (eventually) get to the places lights could just jump up to, but I figured it would probably take more creative usage of SMART and terrain awareness. That was one of the factors towards my choosing Medium for my Operative.
