Body Mod Issues

I've been having some problems with EVE HGEC along with Robert's Male Body mod, with the hands, and in the Female Khajiit's case, the whole body.

The first problem, is that there's something going on with the hand when I equip the wrist irons you start with. The hand's change depending on whether or not the irons are equipped, and there are very large seems. The second and most obvious problem is the female Khajiit. I really don't know what to make of it. I'm using the foot patch that comes with EVE. That didn't work, so I edited the EVE-FCOM esp myself to redirect the female Khajiit's feet textures to the female file. That didn't work either. It may look a little strange at the moment, as I'm in the middle of an FCOM installation. But there might be something obvious in there that I'm missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I've been trying to fix this for two days to no avail.

EDIT: Updated LO, didn't have all mods activated before.

The way I have it working is this:

Install Robet Male Body BAIN
Install Eve Stock replacer choosing the textures and equipment replacers
Install OOO, MMM, Frans EVE replacers
Install Body seam reducer
Install HGEC 2048 face textures
Install HGEC 2048 body textures

This works for me. You pretty much have everything I do in a game I am building and testing tonight. If no archive invalidation issue, try to reinstall the EVE files again.

I assume you have BSA Redirection turned on in BAIN?

Did you install any other body related mods? I never ran into it but I use BAIN. But OBMM should work too I would assume. If you uninstall the body mods does it all go back to normal?

This is killing me....

Even if I disable the mod in OBMM, they still stay 'active,' except they're low resolution versions of the mod. I really have no idea. I've tried every possible fix short of reinstalling. And no, I'm not using any other mods. I was using COBL races, but I got rid of that.

EDIT: Okay, something is seriously [censored] up. I just reset everything to default in the Oblivion launcher, and I'm still getting these low resolution versions of the mods! How is this even possible?!

Try rebuilding your bashed patch. This should be merged, not active. Check it under Merge patches and also make sure it's checked under Race records.
I don't know about EVE, but it could be the same.

I'm very new to Wrye Bash, and I'm not sure how to do that.

Neither EVE nor RMB appear in Merge Patches or Race Records.

When you highlight that RMB mod in Bash, does it say Body-M in the Bash tag box in the lower right corner?

Yes, it says Body-M. I run BOSS all the time. Last time I ran it was right before I started typing this. :P

And I'm using the latest version of Wrye Bash.

EDIT: And if it matters, EVE is marked as Graphics and NoMerge.

Well, sorry, I don't know what to tell you. If they are tagged then they should be in those categories of your bashed patch for you to check. Not having the Graphics is probably why you're seeing the problems you mention. Hopefully someone else has an idea.

Well, the mods are now appearing with their proper Bash tags. However, rebuilt the patch with these settings and they still don't work. :cry:

Okay....I think it's working now....

I launched the game after rebuilding the patch for probably the 20th time today, and everything is working properly. Honestly, I'm afraid to launch the game again. On this note I can finally sleep. I'll deal with further [censored] in the morning.

Thanks for the help. I wouldn't have thought the patch would have helped with this if you hadn't come along, Hanaisse. :)

And don't go crazy over mods not becoming undone when you deactivate them. Any "replacer"-type mods, such as body mods, replaced resource files in your folders or made it so the game uses theirs instead of its own when you installed them. This will not change when you deactivate the plugin in the launcher. The only thing which might happen then would be changed texture pathes reverted back to normal and thus wrong textures being used on the meshes. And always make sure you recompile the bashed patch after you activated or deactivated a plugin, else it might make it stay activated no matter what you do to itself.

Yep. I recreate the Bashed Patch every time I install/uninstall a major mod. And I didn't just uncheck the .esp. I disabled the mod in OBMM. I assumed that would disable the mod itself.

Oh, something I didn't mention before. I didn't actually have the hand gap problem sorted until last night. It was so minor I didn't want to bother you guys more. :P I ended up needing to downgrade to RMB v4, and now everything works perfectly. Instead of the beta for v5. Looks like it has bugs. Honestly, I prefer the look of v4 anyway.

The esp is named the same, but it uses slightly different textures. For example, v4 has arm hair, while v5 does not.

EDIT: Strange...There still seems to be a slight problem with the wrists on the females. Very minor, but I'm going to ask about it in the official thread.

It would help you get over your struggle if you shared HOW you fixed it :) So if you would share your install order of the body mods and any special things you did to get it working I would appreciate it. I seem to have body issues on my new install now with the textures not looking right.

I've been following http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1119325-50steps-to-stable-fcom/page__p__16452602&#entry16452602, but I ran into some problems when it came down to installing the body mods. I installed EVE according to his guide, along with the high rez textures and seamless mod, and compatibility for FCOM and Armamentarium/Artifacts. Then I installed Robert's Male Body v5 beta, and the comptability patches for OOO, MMM, and Fran's, along with Armamentarim/Artifacts.

However, I found none of these body mods worked with COBL races. I may have done something wrong, but they just wouldn't work. I gave up and uninstalled COBL races, but I realized I was still having problem with the vanilla races. The men's hands were disconected from their bodies, and the female's hands would change whenever you take the iron cuffs on or off. And, of course, there was my female Khajiit. (See screenshots in OP.)

Now, I had created my Bashed patch at this time, but it still didn't fix it, as the Robert's and EVE's esps weren't registering their proper tags. I don't know what I did, but eventually they did, I recreated my bashed patch, and that fixed my female Khajiit problem. Now it was just the hands on both sixes.

I fixed the male issue by simply downgrading to Robert's Male Body v4. Simple. (You'll need to reinstall the compatibility patches for your overhauls.)

I fixed the female issue by reinstalling all EVE components. I'm not sure what did it, but I think I got a corrupted EVE-FCOM esp the first time around. Still, just to be safe, I reinstalled every EVE component. After all this, I recreated my Bashed Patch (make sure you have the latest version of Wrye Bash, of course) and ran BOSS, obviously. And that's that.

That was a little convoluted as that's just about everything that's happened over the past few days, but hopefully you'll be able to extract some help from there,

In short: Use Robert's v4, NOT VERSION 5. And build your Bashed Patch properly.

The meshes changed a little from V4 to V5, most noticably around the wrists and such. Most Stock Replacers (like the ones included in the V5 beta release) are still for V4 meshes, thus they won't align perfectly, yet.

Not using Stock Replacers will of course just worsen the effect. A fact many users seem to be unaware of, coming around complaining about why clothes have gaps and blaming it on the body mods.
A body mod is helpless while you're wearing any item. There's a specific body inside it, no matter which body mod you're using, and your body mod's textures might not be working on it even.

I understand that the body won't fit perfectly into clothing without compatibility patches. But it wasn't a gap in the clothing. Wearing any shirt (obviously only noticeable when short-sleeved) would cause the hands to separate from the wrist. It wasn't a gap in the clothing but in the body.
