Body Movement

Jumping isn't removed no button mapping was confirmed, Y is still for jump or E (keyboard) I suppose I'm not sure on the keyboard. I don't know why people aren't jumping.

That 3rd person charge attack does look awful. Objectively awful. Admit this at least.

For my sanity's sake.

Only way it can be objectively bad is if it skips frames(DA2) looks anatomically or physically wrong(DA2). Otherwise it's subjective(still DA2) I'm just glad they haven't gone for flashy things like ninja flips for no reason.

The animations are much better, however, have any of us seen someone "jump" yet? They cant have removed it, can they? In all the videos I am surprised people arent jumping around like crazy, I would out of cheer excitement from playing.

It's confirmed you can jump, but otherwise I wouldn't be surprised either with the way things are going since many games don't let you "jump" either

Seems like mostly everyone is comparing this to OB, in which case we are all very happy with the new animations, 'cos they are a damn sight better than TES IV.

Sure there are still some animations that don't look too hot. I think what's really going on is that Bethesda have really upped the action with this game in so many ways (eg: software and programming, the game content and mechanics) that as soon as we see something that doesn't match this incredible level of excellence that is being created we nit pick them for it ruthlessly.

To be fair we can appear a capricious lot, and I'm sure the majority of us will greatly enjoy Skyrim. But for those issues that persist in bugging us, if we can suggest that 1) it needs to be addressed and 2) is worthy of Bethesda's consideration and 3) can be accounted for appropriately and within the time/budget/effort constraints they face, then let them know!

So... Did someone say the mounting horse animation needs a bit of spruce up? And the dragon's body movement?

EDIT: Typo

I can't judge the animations until I play the game.

Looks waaaay better than OB but it's hardly anything to shout about in when you compare it to other games...

So purely based on Bethesda's games i'm satisfied, but otherwise it's meh. Still appreciate the effort though, it's an improvement and thats always a good thing.

Haha yes it was getting very close to being over the top when he jumped up in the air. But as long as it's not Dragon Age 2...

I'm still going to have to experience it for myself before I make any final conclusion, but it seems rather fluid. I don't think comparing it to Oblivion is necessary as they've had 5 years to advance, so improvement was a given.

I said great, but there's a choice missing from your list : " I Don't care because i'm always in First-person perspective and only switch to 3rd when i want to admire my awesomly clad ass" :spotted owl:

Meh, It's okay, but nothing to write home about
Thats two up from Oblivion though...

I wonder if collisions are still handles like a box/cylinder surrounding the character, or realistic collisions using the actual model. If so, please please pleeeease let us have full body awareness in 1st person. I utterly hate it when food stuffs fly around because I have no idea where I body is in relation to other objects the in the scene.

I love it! :woot:

It beats Oblivion where my character was walking around as though she had Mehrune Dagon up her ass :<

I've actually played a lot of hours in 3rd person much of that in sneak mode. Skyrim 3rd person looks really great so I'm very much looking forward to playing in 3rd person again. I usually click into first person to fire my bow or a long range spell. I'm very satisfied with the new animations.
