Body options for character customization

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 12:54 pm

I would love to see some body options for character customization. It would be so cool to be able to sculpt, body fat, muscles, etc and get as wacky as we want. Creating everything from a short Napolean dude to a Zena, amazon queen and seeing height and weight affect gameplay. Like slim, taller characters would be able run faster but have less carry weight versus a shorter, stockier character who would run slower but have more carry weight, etc.

I'd love to be able to make different body types, but I'd rather it didn't affect any of our stats; I like appearance to be completely divorced from gameplay, aside from gender-related interactions.

Maybe just the height affecting speed like in Skyrim?

That, I think, is an unintentional side-effect of the body models just having longer legs. I'm indifferent to it, but I hope it doesn't mean everyone will max out their height slider just for the sake of moving like 5% faster.

did any body play any of the recent Soul Caliburs (specifically 5)? A set of body sliders like that would be awesome, but I really don't know how that would effect clothing and armour in this type of game.

I'd be more partial to my character design affecting my gameplay versus the 'gain more X, lose more Y' trade off character traits from New Vegas. Being able to create wacky, offbeat characters, however we want, without mods would be so cool.

I like Body Building system that Saints Row 3 and 4 used. I don't know if having a morbidly obese character will have any real gains in Fallout, but I think having these options will lead to more character diversity.

Beer belly and a brewski permanently attached to my left fist. Oh, and a John Deere baseball cap.

I'd love to have characters like http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/a/a0/Gizmo.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20050329135933

I think it would really add to the atmosphere, especially if you have people like Gizmo when just outside you have starving people.

ESO offers a entire page full of body morph sliders. It's fantastic. I hope Bethesda paid close attention to what Zenimax did in that game.

You can't make a proper Chuck Norris clone without the right amount of bulge.

Judging basely on just the trailer I didn't notice any overweight or vastly any different body typed characters? That doesn't mean that there wont be any option but just something I noticed?

Definitely, if anything it would be for great for lols and give players new and creative challenges for future playthroughs. Playing as a morbidly obese midget or a muscle woman fbb, lol.

Maybe even having certain paths in a vault only slim characters can traverse and certain shortcuts only shorter characters can traverse.

Dragon's Dogma has one of the coolest character creators I've seen. You can get all kinds of wacky and whatever character you create appears exactly the same in cutscenes.

I'd settle for skyrim levels of customization. As it was, fallout 3 had just 1 body type per gender in the whole game. That's kinda crazy.

Oh yeah, I'd say it should at least be as in depth as Skyrim's.

I'd be fine with just two eights

Weight and Height. Not really wanting an ESO styled slider. Fat people don't survive often in the wasteland

Aw, but what if you wanted to play a heavy set trader like that fella from Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome? ;)

All a fat guy in the wasteland needs is one decent gun and some skill with it.
