Body slider.

Anyone else notice that theres no more age slider?

I think there will probably be an age/ wrinkle slider in the face section. Some of the presets are really wrinkly :tes:

Why do they always use Khajits? :banghead:

Seriously, the best way to show how chargen works is not to use the one race that always looks the frigging same...

Still, I like that you can still change individual features on a scale. Todd said they were scaling facegen back to make it easier to make nicer characters, and I was worried they'd make it kinda like Dragon Age, but from the looks of things its mostly the same as Oblivion, but with new features.

I personally dont roll my fat ass out of bed and play video games and to play a fat ass in the game.

You do know that gladiators were slightly obese, right?
Also most soldiers had extra fat too.
It increased survivability (and provided energy reserve)
Only recently movies portrait them as athletes
I'm not saying that they didn't had muscles, they had and in many case quite impressive ones
Simply their muscles were not exposed, but encased in fat shell.
So no, fat is necessity in world without firearms

Agree.
Also I hope there is some sort of photo processing tool in game (or CS), that can create approximate face based in photo (or two photos- frontal and side photo)
After manually tweaking it to make it as close as possible to my own face (at least for Men characters)

Or maybe there is some outside similar tool for that?

I'm sure there's an age slider.

I mean, how else do they make old NPCs (like the old woman in Riverwood)?
Also, some of the presets looked old.
Even Oblivion also had an age slider.

Therefore, I'm sure there's an age slider :)

What I am also hoping for is more colors for the eyes for the human races.

All we had in Oblivion was:

Light Blue

A Green that looked more Hazel

Brown

Where is:

An actual green color

Brown

Light brown

Blue

Light blue

silver

etc.

You really should check the presets out, there's a vast amount of eyes and tattoos and scars and ages

As long as i don't have to look like a porm star like the Fable games i'm happy. I could not stand those bodies, sooo grotesque.

I really hope "ripped" status is visually closer to modern strongmen, not to bodybuilders
Because top strongmen can break in half any bodybuilder anytime

I understand that adventuring physically undeveloped fata$$ is something totally unreal
(at least for fighter or thief types, because mages can be weak and fat, but still perform as WMDs)
Anyway slider should go like this
Slim-Normal-Ripped-Obese
(so that after some point instead of muscles, fat start to increase)

Did Fallout 3 have an age slider? I'm not sure. In Fallout 3 the older people were an unplayable race in the GECK.

But you're right about the presets, so I guess we don't have to worry. Either there's an age slider, or another slider that changes the skin like this. http://cdnstatic.gamesas.com/bethblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/BretonCompilation.jpg

I want to make a Nord, but I'll be toning down the roid look. I'm only 5'8", now we need the capability to edit height next game. I'd like to be able to model my character more accurately to myself. :tops:

A body slider is the best thing possibly if done well, but also the worst thing possible if done wrong. (Same with scars/tattoos in my opinion, but to a lesser extend.)

Good thing I have full faith in Bethesda making an amazing game and not screwing stuff up.

I've seen fat people run very fast. Anyway the weather would be the biggest determining factor and I think this is as good a chance as any for Bethesda to implement fat pplz.

Unless it is mage
Because I don't see how obese weight can make spellcasting harder
And it even may be that such person would have additional magicka reserves

But he still has to run from dragons  but like I said, bodyshape != fitness (usually hate it when people do that  )

Good mages don't run away from dragons
Dragons run away from good mages
And from great mages dragons are unable to run away (they still try though)

I wonder how restricted the body slider is. Could more body types be added? Imagine all of the 'better bodies' mods you can fit in that slider. Obviously Bethesda created a system where the clothes and armor morph along with the body.

Something Bioware couldn't do with Dragon Crap 2.

*Bethesda shoulder touch* Well done RPG devs.
