Boethia as the Anticipation of Almalexia

Post » Wed Feb 23, 2011 9:46 pm

I've done a search for this and nothing comes up. I've played Morrowind but not all the way through so maybe my question would be answered if I ever finished the game. Anyway, I've seen quite a few references to Boethia being the Anticipation of Almalexia, but absolutely no explanation as to what this means. Can someone please enlighten me?

Prior to the establishment (ascension) of the Tribunal, the Chimer worshiped a pantheon of daedra. The Tribunal co-opted the aspects and worshipers of the good daedra, hence the daedra "anticipated" the Tribunal. Basically it means that Almalexia shares Boethia's sphere/realm/attributes.

There's a fairly common in-game book called http://www.imperial-library.info/content/morrowind-anticipations. It might sound like a 70's soul sister group but it explains it quite nicely.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the answers and now I understand. I'll keep an eye out for those books next time I play. I admit I read the books in Oblivion a lot, but for some reason not so much in Morrowind.

I'd suggest a visit to the http://www.imperial-library.info/content/elder-scrolls-iii-morrowind. Its a whole lot easier than trying to find books in game.

But it's cooler to find the books yourself in the game!

Thanks. I did look at the links Hairdo provided and they really explained everything quite well. I'll still look for the books in the game though. Like Quentillius said, it is more fun to read them as part of the game experience.
