Boethiah Quest - Sacrifice

Hi,

I think this quest is the harder in the game, because it doesn't give you choice between destroying this group of crazy people or to sacrifice someone.
In the game, I'm trying to be a good character, but with that, it's destroying everything.
I found a way to make your follower survive, but it doesn't work really well, because yes he survived, but I'm not able to ask him to follow me again. My follower is faendal (yes I know he is ugly) and now he is just repeating what he was saying when you see him in Riverwood for the first time. No option...

Toomorow I will try to make this "glitch" with Lydia to see if it work correctly and if not, I will just skip this mission.

I hope in The Elder Scrolls VI we will have more choice in quests.

A good character wouldn't be doing Boethiah's Calling in the first place.

If you're roleplaying a good character, you should just avoid the quest entirely. At most, I think if you encounter them, you should be given an option to walk away and wipe the quest away from your Journal. I mean,

Spoiler
A part of the quest requires you to slaughter all the worshipers at the shrine regardless, so you'd still be doing Boethiah's bidding by "destroying the group of crazy people"

Not to mention the impact of killing them would have far less of an impact than say, destroying the Dark Brotherhood. Who knows how many Shrines are scattered throughout Tamriel. And unlike the Dark Brotherhood, Boethiah isn't a highly secretive group of assassins. She's a publicly worshipped, integrated part of the world. Who says there won't be additional worshipers to replace the ones you killed?

If you've found a way to make a follower survive the sacrifice, then it's most definitely a glitch & not a part of the games design. In other words, as for myself, I wouldn't call that a loophole to still being a good character.

I would just avoid the quest. Hell, I would avoid all Daedric Quests, except for maybe Meridia & Azura.
