Strange topic I know.

My friend is currently trying to roleplay himself. And he doesn't want to eat something he wouldn't eat. And this came up when he saw Boiled Creme Treat.

He wasn't sure what it was. He said it looked really shiny. lol I thought maybe it was like a cream donut?

Anyway, thought I'll ask what it would equal in real life.

Its a Custard Tart.

Custard, a mixture of eggs, dairy and sugar can be cooked on the stove (boiled) or baked in a ramekin. If it is done on the stove, it is usually of a looser consistency than a baked custard. That is what is used in most tarts and pies and such.

There are other similar things to this, like Bavarian Cream, Pastry Cream, Frangipane. They are made in similar ways, but use flour or cornstarch or other starch for a thickener.

This reminds me that I want a Skyrim cookbook.

My wife was talking about putting one together...but didn't someone already do that?

Mmmmm... Boiled Cream Treats are my most favorite treats in the game. Whenever I see 'em, I eat 'em.

I always thought of them as pudding or custard-filled glazed doughnuts. Mmmmmm...
