I gotta say I loved The Book of Eli and saw many FO parallels in it. Raiders, guns and melee weapons everywhere, eating free-range cat, and the civilizations that pop out of the Wasteland aren't always held together very well in the case of Carneghie's Bakersfield, CA. How would you place your money on the society that sprung out of Alcatraz in the movie? I'm thinking early Brotherhood of Steel except they're in San Francisco instead of metro LA. They're too nice to take Eli's rote memorization of the Bible as an entry fee to be Enclave. Plus the Enclave would've killed Solara because she was tainted by the Wasteland and illiterate to boot. The movie storyline is like the first 30 years after the bombs dropped in FO to me. Any thoughts out there?
