A Book Full Of Codes...

Post » Mon Nov 08, 2010 6:54 am

Emm... Its new really. Instead of having to restart oblivion for item codes I decided to write a book full of them. I have only done Deadric Armour up to now, its version is 0.6, Have fun with it...

Why write a book?
You can find them pretty easily if using Wrye Bash. :)

The problem is, Oblivion doesn't like Alt+Tab. I try to memorise object FormID when I want to add items/spells via console, but I often forget the code, end up to press Alt+Tab praying the game won't crash.....

I guess I never have this problem as I have 2 monitors and just open vim on my right one. Hmm.

Have you tried writing them down on a piece of paper outside of the game?

By the way, there's already mod like this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24833 for vanilla items.

I think a book of codes would be extremely useful, I hate having to stop the game to go find a code. Cntrl Alt Del crashes my game.

I am not entirely sure if the linked Books of Console covers it to the depth that the OP is talking about, if not then a more indepth one would be good. It would be a mod that is not used often but when you need it it is worth it's weight in gold.
