More news from Pete's twitter!

Turns out that Skyrim's in-game library will include "Choose Your Own Adventure" books!

Yes, there are a variety of book type. The other day a kid gave me his "choose your adventure" book. It was awesome.

They should have a fan competition to write one that's then given away through DLC.

Well they're not truly. You CAN'T actually choose your own adventure. Still wicked though.

Yeah, massive nerds, in a good way.

Non-nerds don't make stuff like this.

Lets face it, pretending you're a half-elf, half-human who can fire ice out of hands and swing a shock enchanted blade which wearing a mages hood, while appealing to all of us, isn't the most conventionally cool thing to do

Long live nerds

When I found that terminal, I was in nerd nirvana. Amused, and rewarded for exploring. What more could you want from a game?

It's not interactive, you read through it normally.

That's pretty awesome. I hope the amount of books in Skyrim is better than Oblivion. I hated walking into a building and seeing 20+ copies of the Fundamentals of Alchemy or Mage's Guild Charter.

Fractal like. Choose your own adventure books in a choose your own adventure game, like the Grelok terminal in FO3 but less computery. Very cool!

That was more of a Zork homage, versus a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book homage. Quite different, really.

Yo dawg. We heard you like adventures, so we added adventure books in skyrim so you can adventure while you adventure.

I love this. If it's anything like the whole Grognak game in FO3 then I'll be happy.

LOL, I used to love those books when I was a kid. I also didn't know about the one in FO3. Thanks.

I sat around with 2 friends and we got totally enraptured in a Zork emulator on the xbox 360, rather than playing Halo Reach or Call of Duty Brown Oops. True story.

But idk...while the Reign of Grelok sounds really cool, for some reason the child's choose your own adventure story just seems out of place. Anachronistic maybe. Somewhat childish.
