Books - The Scourge

I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to interact with books, that are not in containers. I want to be able to pick them up without reading them. Is there any key that i can press to automatically "take" a book? I can use the arrows to navigate...but every time, it doesnt even start on the screen; you have to press a directional button to make it start cycling. and even then you must hit Enter. So yeah, if anyone had any tips for either negating the "read then take" process altogether or a hotkey that would let me take from that window very easily, i'd much appreciative :)

grab it. use the command to grab an item. it won't go into your inventory, save the game before trying this.

I'm just guessing here that what drives this is the following scenario: You find a skill book, but you don't want to take the skill boost at the moment; rather you would like to take skill book and stick it in a safe place so you can use it when you're ready. If that is the case, I have never found a solution. What I do whenever I go to grab a book that has a value over 25 (good clue that it may be a skill book) is to save the game first. Then if I get an unwanted skill up, I reload. If the skill book is important, I write down a note of where it is. Sorry I can't help more.
