Boomers... And some aliens on the side. : Fallout: New Vegas

Alright, so when i walked up to the entrance to where the boomers start firing their artillery at me, this guy said he could help me for 300 caps... well i had 299 (No joke) and had to go sell something. When i come back hes gone and i cant find him, what should i do?

Also, to the north i found an alien space ship and 3 aliens... Is this part of the "Wild wasteland" perk, an Easter egg, or something quest related?

Thanks, ill try it.. i tried sneaking and using a stealth boy, didn't work.. lol.. I was starting to think it was impossible without the dude that ran off, seemingly towards his death xD

All u gotta do is keep moving towards the fence, i paid that guy 300 caps and all i did was run without stopping

It tells you to use cover and to time your sprints, but you run so slowly in this game thats pointless I found.

I just ran like Forrest, died twice but third time's a charm.

ps. if you want peace with the boomers, don't start shooting their guards at the fence, they'll be friendly if you hold fire, even though they just bombed the [censored] out of you.

You can't really "run fast". It's either jog, or walk, without cheats or mods at least. I'm trying to play a normal playthrough without touching console at first...and it's tough.

No, they aren't.

It says stick to the high cover (the rocks) on the northwest side of the houses. That's exactly what I did. Basically, the rockets shoot around you, but you take no damage. Then, there is a lull in the firing, and you can move to the second cover. After that, a second barrage starts. After it's over, run towards the fence.

That's basically exactly what it tells you to do. Perhaps you read it too fast.
