So I'm trying to do the Brotherhood of steel quest to find the dead paladdins in the boomer field.

I run to the boomers, do all their quests, get idolized, loved by them.

I receive the boomer flight armor, Everythings great...

Until I walk anywhere near the front gate, then the bombs start flying.

It's making it impossible for me to move on with my Brotherhood of steel quest, The boomers are bombing me despite me being their best friend.

On top of that they seem to be bombing their own men at the front gate, if i go to the front gate they start shooting, ive seen scattered boomer corpses at the front thanks to their bombs.

Last Quest I did was the Raising of the Air plane in the dam, not sure what im doing wrong.

( Party Companions = E-de and Boone , Tried dismissing both and I still get bombed )
( Friends with NCR, Enemy Powder Gangers, Everyone else loves me )
Did I miss something?

Run by following the mountain on the left. Stay close to the mountain until you reach the fence, than walk along the fence.

This way I got one hit.

This may be a dumb question, but are you wearing the Boomer attire?

Wow that is weird because i never had any problems when i did the BH part of the quest, but yes i did help the boomers and was pretty much done with them when i started the BH quests. You could try faction armor, or fast travel to the gate first then run out into the bombed city.

Boomer attire has nothing to do with it. The BoS is in a crater in the middle of the bombed town at the front of a car in the hole,can't miss it.Park your minions at the gate or on the road next to the buddy you bet with. Factions sometimes shoot at your minions for no reason.Start from the gate and remove your armour so you run faster and zig zag thru town till you get to the hole,collect all and zig zag back.Done.Have a nice day.

You're probably wearing faction armour. Or you divided by zero.

I ran into this bug. It happened because you got too close to the gate while the bombardment is going on. See, if you talk to the gate guard while still being bombarded, the game won't know to halt the bombardment. Which means that when you go out to retrieve that power armor and holotape, the game will continue happily bombarding you.

Best suggestion is to reload a save before you made your mad dash across the artillery field, then wait until there's a lull in the bombardment and *then* talk to the gate guard. It worked for me.

I am guessing your wearing faction armor also

If anything, don't road straight towards the gate. Either huge the rocky cliff on the left or follow the railway until you reach the fence.
