Sup, Forum!

I recently bought an EXPENSIVE weapon/armor set for Boone at the Gunrunners. Anti Material Rifle, A LOT of ammo, armor and so on... about 9 - 13k, can't remember right now. A few fights later(had my game on mute because I was listening to an audio-book) I turned my volume up again and noticed "Hey... I know that sound.. that's a damn hunting rifle. BOONE!!! WHERE THE [censored] IS THE RIFLE I JUST [censored] BOUGHT FOR YOU???!!!" I checked his inventory and the gun was gone. I never had this before and I played through the game over 20 times... Is this some new bug since an update or what the hell is this?!

lol oh well boone sometimes doesn't accept stuff if you got it from another faction that he hates, i've tried giving him legion armor i wanted him to carry for me, he wouldn't accept it.

but i had him carry my space suit and helmet, he took those and put on the helmet and he looks funny wearing that.

He probably had the gun shot out of his hand during a fire fight. It happens. The only weapons they can't lose is the ones they start out with. And apparently there's a bug with the Gommorah, your companions can lose any weapons you give them if go in there as they aren't returned to them when you leave.


That's true of all companions, not just Boone. You are the only one who can wear any sort of faction armour. The one exception is Veronica, she can wear some Brotherhood Power Armour, though I don't think all of it.

Dumb looking thing isn't it? He'll wear any sort of helmet you give him since pretty much anything has a better DT value than his beret, and there's no headgear that's flagged as faction owned. He looks equally stupid wearing a Fiend helmet. I kind of hate seeing him without his beret, that's part of his persona as far as I'm concerned, but I finally had to settle for giving him a Combat Helmet so he wouldn't keep looking like an idiot.
