I just bought Borderlands on Steam because it was on sale, and it runs decent on my laptop, everything on low with textures at high at 800x600 and get around high 30's to low 40's in FPS, with the ability to hit the 50's and 60's pretty often.
My laptop isn't much of a gaming rig, but i was wondering if i could run Borderlands, could i run Fallout 3 or Oblivion? I know that Oblivion is three years older than Borderlands and has much lower system requirements, but something about the engine used in Bethesda games has this aspect of unpredictability when it comes to how it runs, for example, I could run F.E.A.R on my old laptop at lowest settings at 1366x768 and hit 60fps often, but morrowind barely hit 20fps at absolute minimum.
Anyway, my specs are:
Intel Pentium 2020m @2.4GHz
Intel HD Graphics 1.7gb w/32mb dedicated VRAM
Windows 8 64-bit
4gb RAM
Pixel Shader 5.0 and DirectX11 are supported
So yeah, I'm more interested in Oblivion because I've never played it before, but if someone could tell me what kind of performance to expect in these two games in comparison to borderlands, that would be great, thanks!
