Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel #2

Post » Sun Nov 23, 2014 1:36 am

"Set between Borderlands and Borderlands 2, four all-new character classes fight alongside Handsome Jack, witnessing his transformation into the ruthless tyrant people loved to hate in Borderlands 2, and assist with the rise of the Hyperion Corporation. The signature shoot n’ loot gameplay of the Borderlands series expands with the addition of low-gravity and oxygen-powered jetpack combat, the icy Cryo elemental damage type, the deadly laser weapon class, and new vehicles to help explore the diverse lunar landscape of Elpis, Pandora's moon."

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel features four starting classes; Athena the Gladiator, Wilhelm the Enforcer, Nisha the Lawbringer, and Claptrap the Fragtrap.

So, I beat the final boss in TVHM as Athena after many attempts. I had to go out and level up to 49. I used the shock Torrent to take down shields, a Hyperion shotgun and Skullmasher sniper (that I got from killing Nel a second time) to do tons of damage, and the Fridgia to kill the Guardians for Second Winds (since regular killing them is glitchy but freezing them and making them fall counts). It took two or three deaths to get it after I leveled to 49. I have tons of points in melee (Bleeding) and the Aspis (healing, longer duration, etc.) I focused on killing the Guardians then used the Torrent's burst to quickly take down the shields. A full clip each from the Hyperion shotgun and the Skullmasher was enough to take down his health. He went down pretty easy once I got the rhythm down.

I think I'm going to start Wilhelm. His bots seem pretty useful as long as they're not as stupid as Bloodwing in BL1.

I had no trouble with the end boss on Athena in TVHM. A real pushover compared to Borderlands 2. I think both forms killed me once, whereas the Warrior was a real test of patience. Even easier with Nisha.

Oh, and i think someone was looking for the RK5 boss music? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51UHKahcRgU
Everything does sound more imposing in german, "Raum-Kampfjet Mark V" :ooo: "Space Combat Fighter Mark V"
:hehe:

I've since gone back to Borderlands 2 and i've identified the two main issues of the Pre-Sequel: there's no http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XaFVhnTJdc or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JftJi3ag5Mc :teehee:
