most bethesda fans expect lots of good combat, plenty of large dungeons and buildings to explore and fight in as well as a nice fantasy world with tons of stuff to do, an obsidian fan is prob more into a game thats "believable" or "plausible" etc with minimal exploring, definately no big dungeons to explore or fight in, and also no random events or encounters, they probably don't mind the same enemies in the same locations even if they go by the same spot 100 times, they prob don't want much combat on the map or much action cause that wouldn't be "believable" ,they probably prefer that 99.9% of the map is pretty boring with nothing to do. so its just two totally different styles of gamemaking. i don't like "believable" or "plausible" games, thats too much like the sims. i kinda prefer plenty of fantasy in my games.
I am neither a 'Bethesda Fan' nor an 'Obsidian Fan', I am a 'Fallout Fan'. I enjoy exploration, I enjoy beautiful Songbook America classics like on RNV and GNR, I enjoy combat where it is plausible, I also enjoy well done Voice Overs and dialogue. Don't you dare say just because some of us enjoy New Vegas far more than Fallout 3, it makes us a lesser person, saying we prefer bleak worlds. No, New Vegas is not bleak, it's just as lively as Fallout 3, your problem is you are intentionally refering to one particular space of the game to make us Fallout New Vegas fans. I am sick of people like you criticizing people who enjoy Fallout:New Vegas, and I'm sick of the old fans who criticize Fallout 3, people have a right to their opinion, but you saying those of us enjoy New Vegas because it's monotonous is just rude, childish, and uncalled for. You never defend your arguments, yet you keep dishing out this false sense of superiority over Fallout:New Vegas fans.
I'm sorry if that's rude to you and I mean no disrespect, but I'm tired of you camping all of us Fallout:New Vegas fans into this camp of 'lesser fans'. :/
