So isn't a Super Mutant in F3 on LvL 2. Deathclaws, Cazadores, they'll tear you apart in NV.

the deathlcaws are only a problem the first time you play the game and at early levels when you don't have good weapons, but once you get a mutliplas rifle, sniper rifle etc, dealing with them is easy, even a 9mm is pretty good for dealing with cazedores, any high rate of fire weapons works on cazedores and they are only in a few locations, the map area of new vegas ins't very dangerous once you have some good weapons and are about level 15, the game is super easy once you're about level 20, you're like a walking terminator, once you know where the deathclaws and cazedores are, you don't really even need a weapon on 99% of the map area.

Every thing is hard in the early levels. Until like lvl 15 those cazadores are easy and plus you dont see them everywhere... More like youll tear them apart.

That's exactly my point. In NV leveling up actually pays off, unlike in F3 where everything seems to be weak like a cardboard box. The only exception should be the Broken Steel DLC, and even those Overlords are nothing but Bullet sponges just for the sake of having high-level baddies.

What in the hell are you talking about F3 was also hard to when you came out of that Vault. You couldnt have just walked over to Vault 87 and [censored] them super mutants. F3 was far harder in combat and enemies.

Usually i call them Viper Tire Iron Slingers :P

Huh, here was i thinking NCR and Legion are at war :P

the ncr and ceasers legion are at war ? i wonder why its almost impossible to find ceasers legion unless you go to cottonwood cove or nelson, even the ncr doesn't patrol the map, you can find a patrol near camp searchlight but thats about it, except the for the very end battle at the dam, its kinda hard to notice a war going on anywhere acutally, having some ranger outposts here and there doesn't exactly give me the war feeling on the map, the feeling on the map is more like walking out your front door and going for a walk, then coming home, not a lot of action there. lol

yah really in F3 you seen the BOS fighting the Super mutants most of the time you could tell there was a war between them. In FNV it just looks like there neighbors that dont like to talk to each other.

Actually, I went straight to River City from the Vault and pretty much to my dismay single-handely killed every Super Mutant without a single need of Quicksaving. With FWE it got better though.
The problem is that the game lacks a competent armor system - damage threshhold, so everything is easily destroyed or "poked to death" as I like to say.

Try it, Hunting Rifle, 9 stimpacks and Armored Vaultsuit. Level 2.

Now try doing that in New Vegas Black Mountain.

The only real hard part of getting to Vault 87 on the topside is obtaining the marker without dying of rad poison.

Your kidding me right you cant get into Vault 87 because it says inaccessible. I tried this. Plus also there is not that much Rad poisoning in where you get the geck if you have the right equipment. Also what lvl do you go in there when your 20 because its not that easy at lower levels....

I never said you could, I simply said obtaining the Vault 87 fast travel Marker. As the interior, considering that Fallout 3 works on a leveling system, difficulty of a fight is entirely player dependant on what weapons and armor you have.

Nope, you chose to have crappy armor and guns. As I said, it's all player dependant. Hell, just do the Keller family unmarked quest and you're set for life.

You are set for life after to get a decent condition Hunting Rifle.

Seriously, it take those complete absurd bullet sponges from Broken Steel to stop the Hunting Rifle Reaper of Doom.

No need for that, just the ability to unlock v.hard terminals or locks is enough. Only thing you'll be missing is the MIRV.

How did this again become a Fallout 3 vs. New Vegas thread? Can't we discuss shortcomings of New Vegas without getting Fallout 3 involved?

You can easily kill a Behemoth with it.

Only Albino Radscorpion, Super Mutant Overlord and Ghoul Reaver can withstand the awesomeness of Hunting Rifle.
