I just completed Still in The Dark, I didn't dethrone the elder. How do I wear Power Armor?

talk to the dude again. he should say you are now a paladin of the bos ill teach you how to wear power armor. well you might have to something else before you do that

Theres one more quest you have to do.

I talked to him and he said he was busy making preparations to unlift the lockdown. And what other quest is it?

Pyro, you might hve to leave the base and valley all together for a few days and go back. Thats what I had to do before I was able to talk to him again.

Aside from that if you want to know the next quest the next quest before you are trained in power armor is hooking up a device to the radar station up at black mountain.

Yeah, you have to leave the bunker and wait a few days, then go back and ask to join the BoS. He will give a suit of T45d with the helmet and teach you how to wear it.

For those of us that have waited for days and weeks and still do not trigger the trial here is a thread about a possible order bug and work around. I'm going to give this a shot, but will take me a while to see if it works due to my save point. What a pain in the [censored]....

Or you know...you could do Arcade Gannons quest thingy and get power armor training from the remnants AND Advanced Power Armor Mk.II in 100% condition.

It is not just power armor. I'd also like to join the brotherhood and see if there are other quests with them. But this bug makes that impossible. I'm about to save a game everytime I enter a quest hub before talking to anyone. Heading into the game to see if it works correctly this time...

The solution on the following thread worked for me. It seems that speaking to Hardin causes the problem. I listed the order that worked for me.
