I can never take the little guys seriously. They're always borderline insane.

For bosmers i always play a female bosmer named Mistress ally firestar. I will create her in skyrim and in future TES games.

You do realize this is like saying that they've all got pointy ears, right? They're Bosmer.

Yes....the "Flaming Gay" approach with the Wood Elves dosent work for me.

I VERY much would prefer if the Bethesda team would take some lessons from J.R.R Tolken on how
to create a Badass Wood Elf

See my sig. LOL

Also, a Wood Elf style like Haldir would be pretty awesome. And as for the voice, neither the OB one (for any of the elves) nor any stupid British accents, please.

And as for the Bosmer in general, idk where everyone is getting the hate for them....

I liked playing as a Bosmer and I have no problem with the NPC Bosmer aside from the voices and the fact that they're too short. I get them being shorter, but in Skyrim it should be less drastic. I would love to see them come back with an intense voice that verges on unsettling and the black eyes (at least as a Bosmer-only option).

I know what they are. I'm saying most of the Bosmer characters are eccentric and wacky. You can't take these guys seriously.

And in turn makes them dangerous.

I really hope they stop the trend of Bosmer being comic relief, they should be my favorite race, but instead I never play them :sadvaultboy:

The Bosmer? He just sort of makes everyone feel uncomfortable simply by being in the room. An unparalleled marksman wise in the way of the forest who you turn around to find staring unabashedly at you, casually sharpening his knife by the campfire. He seems harmlessly eccentric, making a fuss about which color plate his food has to be on, and he hasn't said or done anything to make you feel threatened but simply having him around makes you want to sleep with one eye open. That's precisely the sort of Bosmer I want to see in Skyrim.

I wholeheartedly agree with this.

Bosmer make my skin crawl. Whenever I run into one I hear them scream something and then laugh maniacally as they pull out a weapon and start zipping around. They're so short I have trouble hitting them. Really one of the only things that has me breathing a sigh of relief when they're dead.

Well, if the Orc and Khajiit screenshots are any kind of guide, I think we might be pleasantly surprised.

The Orc have gone from bottle green Shrek lookalikes in Oblivion to a badass, butt-ugly grunts in Skyrim. Khajiits have been given a makeover that makes then look a lot less like a pathetic kitty that wanders around looking constipated.

So, I'm confident that Bosmer will have a similar makeover and be awesome in Skyrim. I hope so too, because they are fun to play. It's the NPCs that have let them down in Oblivion and Morrowind

Do any of you RP your Bosmer characters a little on the crazy side? I personally don't because while insanity might be more prevalent among the Wood Elf race, not all of them are bonkers. LOL! I do tend to RP my Bosmer as pretty resentful of the way he and his race gets treated though. As for the black eyes returning in Skyrim, yes please!

how about something like this? (with a little more clothing of course)

http://mortal.ville-hinkka.com/wp-content/gallery/races/ForestElf.jpg

Nice picture! I hope they look somewhat like that in Skyrim!

When I played Morrowind I had two characters, first one was a male Breton I played through most of the game with, second one was a female Bosmer... in morrowind I thought they were very beautiful (think about Galbedir!), and their dubbing voice in French (I had the French version of that game) was good enough and less annoying than many other voices.

Talk about a let down when I first saw Oblivion female Bosmers...
