[RELz] BOSS for Fallout 3

Sweeeetness... I think what you are doing with BOSS and since the guys from FOMS where interested in the same process (to an extent)--- it's these kinds of endeavors that really make modding the best. (NO CTDS!!!!)

I am just... curious, and perhaps I should look into it on my own time without just straight out asking... but what is it that decides the load orders?....

For someone like me, who knows a little.... like

"what comes last" overides - check
"follow readme's and known instabilities" - check
"check with FO3edit and then scratch my head minimizing and maximizing Miaxus tutorial for 20 minutes to do one thing" - check

lol

How do you go about this process?... (You don't have to tell me, I am just curious)

BTW, do you want me to send more and more unknown mods your way?.... Because I have almost completed the Game (LEGITIMATELY and COMPLETELY) :gun: , and getting to the point of "let's see how crazy my new characters world is going to be muhahahahhahah"

Only one from Fast VATS should be used, and is no longer supported, but a mod that makes VATS much more worthwhile.

Fast and Dramatic VATS is a simple re-write of VATS that is totally worthwhile but MUCH more challenging.

Essentially that. If you take a look at the master list then they are all sorted into section i.e. weather mods, overhauls, weapons etc etc. At the moment I am just placing mods in said categories and then getting feedback from the community and fine tuning the list.

Thanks for these mods, adding them in. Keep them coming! At the moment I only have to to add in the mods here and slowly work trough the popular files on FO3Nexus, so all the mods added here are very appreciated!

The esms should be easy though :D

20th Century has a recommended load order in its own thread.
The RTS plugins should not matter.
Ignore the Waysted esm. It's not used by mods.
You allready know about Ammo Bench.
Lawbringer Bounties edits some major NPCs like Mr. Burke and some minor like Sister. Also changes thier faction.
SD Theme Swap should load before any mods that modify the player houses.
Rooved Megaton is incompatible with any mod that changes the outer walls of Megaton.
Megaton Closes changes the Megaton Gate, Rivet City Bridge, and Paradise Falls Gate.
Stealth Power Armor A adds a scripted power armor to the Citadel A-Ring.
NAPA doesn't matter.
Drees perk mods are non conflicting.
Buildable Bots Robco Addon should be below Buildable Bots and Robco Certified.
Alternate Start. No clue.
20th Century edits leveled lists.
Ignore the Foundation.
Walkie Talkie should not matter.
Next two are fully compatible.
Incompatible with EVE. Partially integrated.
Next three are compatible with everything.
Chem Enhancer is Incompatible with mods that edit the default Chems and Qauntum. Normal Cola is safe.
AMPVault adds a new location.
TalonExtraArmor edits Leveled lists.
Vault64 isn't done yet, so I don't know.
Rockville adds a new location.
Ignore the WATPA things. My unfinished and unreleased mods.

Bottle refill mods are up for debate, but I love this one,... other bottle refills should definitely be looked at because they all had major load order issues (imo) I may be stupid, but this mod works, and it works good, and it is not recognized by BOSS (probably wouldn't cause any serious CTD's anyway)

There is a new BOSS-F out now, which can detect between FOOK2 and non FOOK2 set-ups, much like it did for FCOM on oblivion.

I went through this list and tried to remove items created for personal use, but if I missed any mods with the word combo should be ignored :)

put in some work to help you with more of my unrecognized mods (not necessarily activated):

May i make two suggestion:

- When adding clothing mod to the masterlist, concentrate on clothing for body mods first. They should be the most needed since broader attention.

- Loadorder of Places and Items: 1) I would suggest having them BEFORE any overhaul mods.
Overhaul mods are probably the most watched and improved upon so any glitch introduced by a minor newbie mod would get overwritten.
On the other hand, even if no glitch, an overwrite of an overhaul setting (in both senses of the word) seldomly is something some wishes for.

2) Instead of your masterlists current alphabetic scheme of sorting mods yet not fully tested,
may i suggest you instead add them topo-graphically from North to South. The simplest example would be
mods side by side changing Seneca Station or Rivet City. Mods changing places or adding items closeby each other
are the most likely to conflict in an non-glitch-fashion, they are just not compatible.
Also with fomm playtesting becomes easier and might even encourage reporting back to you or the modder.

for those who play FWE i can confirm it works well with my setup using that mod. this mod def adds a bit more spark to that mod. i was at first having trouble but after fooling with the load order i think if u put the masterfile after FWE 5.0 files (using the proper load order for that massive mod) and the esp the same it should work. my files look like this:

Calibr.esm
FO3WanderersEdition-MainFile.esm
MMM.esm
RH-IRONSIGHTS.esm
AmmoBench.esm

same thing with the esp's. ALL go AFTER FOWE 5.0 files"

The FWE DLC patches get the wrong order in the latest masterlist. I'm pretty sure it was correct before, so I guess it has snuck in lately somehow:

In your load order, you have these loaded like this:
FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Anchorage.esp
FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Broken Steel.esp
FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Mothership Zeta.esp

Hi there,

i here quote delamer from the FWE comment page regarding the loadorder of FWE 5_0 (and higher) and yadisguise mod (yet another disguise mode, link see in my big list, the second next post above):

"FWE don't include Delay DLC. Before FWE 5.0 it was possible this mods before FWE, but not now. FWE 5.0 integrate achievement remover and this lead to minor conflict with Delay DLC. So- you need to load Delay DLC after FWE in load order."
