I'll try to use it with Open Office (don't have MS office), should be compatible, yes?
Thanks for this.

I very much doubt that BOMM will work with Open Office - the utility makes a lot of use of VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), which I would be very suprised to see working on Open Office.

Hey, when I updated BOMM and copied over the old overrides, the first few were white, but the last 20 were green... The inconsistency bothers me is all, but I'll update again...

Hi Tomlong

You can akways highlight the tabel rows in question and set it to white.

To migrate data from one doc to another, I select the rows I want to copy, right-click and choose copy. On the destination doc, I select the row above which I want to paste the rows, right click and select insert as new rows.

Hope this helps. This should be the last time you need to do this - no plans for anything else (famous last words) :)

Is it possible to have an alternative "View Notes" but instead of notes, you get a list with the bash tags? My final mod list is going to be pretty big, and rebuilding the bashed patch is annoying when you have to scroll through loads of mods without tags. It would save people some time I would reckon.

It is always possible :)

Not sure I understand how you would use the report. Wrye Bash automatically includes the bash tags defined by BOSS so I am not sure why you would need to manually review the tags in the BOSS log - which is why I made the View Notes (only) feature.

Am I missing something obvious?

Edit: reworded last sentence to the question I meant to ask

I had not seen the notes feature before. I like it (even though I do not really need to look at it, but it's still nice, haha...)

Merely for double checking purpose. It is especially handy when dealing with mods that are always being imported, and do not have to be in the "merge plugin" list. I could take the smaller list and compare, rather than having to go through 300-400+ mods.

Apologies if I am being stupid, but I still don't understand what you are checking.

If a mod is mergeable, but should not be included in the merge list, then I presume it will be tagged with NoMerge - this prevents WB from including it in the merge list.

Sorry to keep asking questions, but I do like to understand the context of requests - especially if there is something I should have been doing and did not know that I needed to.

Might help me to understand if you could give an example of what you would check that would make you change something in the merge list.

Thanks

I will try to be as detailed as I possible can, but I am tired, haha.

I have several mods (body mods at the moment) which have body and graphic tags. These have to be imported using the Import body/graphics options. Now one of them has another option which allows me to merge it completely (under the "Merge Patches" inside WB). This is not required, since it is already imported under body, and it will only make the bashed patch bigger (which is not necessary).

So whenever I see a mod listed in the "Merge Patches" list, I go through my BOSS list and check out all the bash tags. If mod A has several other tags, then there is no need to continue merging it (full merge, not the import options). Some mods still have to be in that list, but that is all due having no other bash tags.

But like I said, I will have 300/400+ mods in my list in the near future, and most of them have no tags. Usually I could scroll through them, or use the standard "find" function but that is annoying. I noticed you had a "View Notes" option in BOMM, so I thought.. maybe he could reverse it into only showing BOSS tags. It would be handy because then I can control my BOSS list (updates), see notes and tags without having to open several text files.

It is something I could do without, but I thought it could add some new functionality so that you have all tags in a centralized location, rather then scrambled through a giant text file.

(it is true that I could use additional tags to avoid merging it completely, but I like having full control).

OK - thanks for the explanation.

So would you want notes and tags in one report (ie mods listed with notes and/or tags) or a seperate button to create a report of mods with tags (notes not included)?

Anyone else have a view on this?

A separate button for notes, and a button for bash tags.

But like I said, it is not a must. Do as you please

I have implented this feature and it is working fine on Word 2010. Once I have had a chance to do some compatibility testing on Word 2007 and 2003, I will upload the new version.

Couldn't you have suggested this before I went and downloaded the latest update...? :( Okay, one more time...'s a good idea though...

BOSS Master List Manager v4.7 Released

I got tired of editing information from BOMM to post on the BOSS forum so I decided to automate the creation of the forum post. I thought other people might find it useful so I decided to do yet another final release :)

    New Features
  • Added the "Post Report" button. When you click this button, BOMM creates a document containing your Unknown mods in forum formatted text you can cut and paste into your BOSS forum post. It only includes entries that follow the "BOSS Log Undefined ESPs and ESMs" sub-heading and have a "Load After" mod specified. Once the report has been created, the entries will be moved to a new sub-heading so that you will not generate duplicate posts.
  • The summary message now includes how many overrides were applied and the number of mods inserted into the master list.

    Processing Changes
  • None.

    Fixes
  • Additional error trapping for all the new buttons to avoid any unexpected script failures (possible if any invalid configuration options were specified).

    Documentation Changes
  • Added "Special Sub-Headings" section to explain the purpose of the sub-headings included in the package as well as highlight the optional and mandatory ones.
  • Updated the Buttons section to include the new Post Report button
  • Added tip about the Post Report button under the "Tips" section.

A pleasure

I was a little disappointed that I had to do this release because I have a new version that does the migration of your settings, overrides and unknowns as well as simplifies the setup - but it is not ready (still quite a lot to do), so I needed to so this interim update to correct the bugs :)

...and I will probably be here to post after downloading each one. Downloading updates is a habit...kind of compulsive with it. The only way I will not download an update is if another one is posted before I grab it...

Thank you for the updates, and I look forward to the big one! ^___^

You might want to post this on the BOSS thread rather this one (the BOMM thread :))
