Boston Marathon bomber part 2

Post » Sat May 17, 2014 4:00 pm

I think this whole event may inspire other counties(especially some lawless places maybe) to be a lot more aggressive in apprehending criminals of this magnitude.

and we know this for sure? This man needs to be captured. and its not like he will rot in the legal system when their is so much hard evidence against him. I would think a trial would be fairly quick to conviction

No-one knows whether they are working alone or not, just killing the suspect because he's 'probably' working alone is not a tactially sound strategy.

A mental disorder or mental illness is a psychological pattern or anomaly, potentially reflected in behavior, that is generally associated with distress or disability, and which is not considered part of normal development in a person's culture.

And those guys were Chechens, so they were probably Sunni Muslims either Shafi or Hanafi schools of thought. If that is correct they are mentally ill. On other hand a minority of Chechens follow Salafism, for which those practices are a duty to their society, so they were not mentally ill in the first place. What I can say for sure is that there isn't enough data for now.

I just tend to believe that we should require more from our ethically superior civilisation (this actually can be measured) than a barbarians repost that is "kill the traitor/infidel/murderer".

This is a valid point. Statistics show that most murders happen in the spur of a moment, and most likely by someone the victim knew.
Sometimes people just snap.
It is in fact such a deep-rooted aversion against killing a random stranger that military acadamies the world over train people especially for it, and intensively. Its not something that comes natural to (most) people.

These people are not muslims and behaviour such as this is part of no-one's culture.
Madmen can abuse the Qu'ran (or bible) to create a justification for their insane inhumanity, but neither of these two schools of thought I mentioned accepts this sort of behaviour and leaders of both would call it decidedly unmuslim or uncristian to act like this.

Apparently there has been a leaked picture of the body of the older brother.

I don't want to link it because of gore, but if anyone else has seen that particular picture, does it seem legit?

They interviewed the doctor who worked on he brother when he arrived at hospital. The doctor said they even tried to revive him I believe, so I'm pretty sure his death is confirmed.

Yeah, I heard the interview with the doctor. He said they did try to revive him but there was very little they could do for him.

Please, you've gone far too political as it is. I'm surprised the thread hasn't been locked yet.

All you said was that you didn't think they were mentally ill. Then you went onto say;

See what I mean?

Or someone is extending the definition of treason to a degree it doesn't deserve.

Guys, cut out any political and religion based comments. We are leaving this open as somewhere to discuss the tragic events so please respect our forum rules. Thanks.

I know that Salafi schoolars are yelling this on every ocassion they get . But actuall followers of the Salafi schools believed the WTC terrorists were heroes. I have spoken with a lot of Muslims in Egypt. It's true that many agreed that that act wasn't right, but there were as many that believed that is was right. Quite unsettling.

Have they not found the second suspect yet? Last I remember before heading to bed was that the police chief came on TV and said suspect 1 was dead, and something about them waiting for daylight.

I am really surprised by The Tallest in these threads. I thought you had more sense, guy. Apparently not.

Severe sociopathy is a psychological condition, I'm not sure if there's a difference between that and a mental illness, but it is a condition.

There is still a massive manhunt for suspect 2.

I noticed Betsy Hughes has been on national TV a lot since the bombings since she is a sponsor or something of the marathon. She owns the Trackshack shoe store around the corner from our shop. She even had some Danish-modern arm chairs refinished at our shop less than a year ago. I had no idea she had such a significant influence on a marathon almost 2000 miles away.

My cousin goes to the same school as one of the alleged bombers apparently... Luckily they caught him before he did something at the school, which I assume he planned to.

My apologies. I Posted that before seeing the mod post. Altho that we can't discuss those topics on neutral ground is only showing us how immature our society is.

Insanity is exhibiting behaviour and holding belief-systems that are incongruous to reality and counter to self-actualisation.
Other people may have other definitions, but in my opinion no-one who does anything like this can be called sane.

I just keep thinking about those poor people who were there to enjoy a nice day out, possibly with their family. I think its that sort of empathy that people like this lack.
