car jacked a mercedes.. they kept that driver alive and used his debit card to get money
the let the guy go.. they told him they were the bomber and had killed a cop
that man called the police
not sure how the firefight started
but there was a shootout.. older brother had a suicide vest on
cops shot older brother, younger brother drove over him with the car and escaped..

but they have found bombs all over the place and have been making people strip

It's a tough balancing act. Privacy vs Security, I'll admit that I lean towards the latter, but that's because in 2013 all it takes is one unethical person to [censored] everything up. The scare tactics utilized by the Bush regime in their bid to consolidate power was as detrimental to the freedom of the people as the horrors inflicted by those extremists. I'm all for catching terrorists domestic or otherwise, but on the condition that temporary powers granted to the government be revoked after these animals are caught.

There's was a bomb threat at my college a couple hours ago. A backpack under a car, and about half the campus just left because of it.

EDIT: Also, how on earth does the entire police force of a city lose one guy? I'm guessing there's more to it.

The shoot out was in a densly populated area, the kid had guns and explosives. My guess is the police were not comfortable just blasting away as he drove away. If they killed innocents in there homes it would just add to the carnage.

I understand why they didn't apprehend him, but I don't see how they actually lost him. I would have thought they would know exactly where he was and it would be a siege situation rather than a manhunt.

It reminds me of the movie "The Siege". I woke up this morning seeing footage of SWAT in front of apartments with the headline, "Boston area locked down, door to door searching...". I thought the city of Boston was under martial law.

It kind of is until this man is caught or dead.
