Supposing this game isn't taking place before New Vegas, anyone else hoping to see Roxie, Rex, and their litter of Boston Terrifiers?

Sorry to break it to you, but FO4 takes place the same year as Fallout 3. It would have been cool to see Rex again, though. I'm not actually certain of his age, so perhaps it's possible that he got turned into a cyborg at the Institute and slowly made his way over to the Mojave with his owner before the King.

why would we, did they hitch a ride on one of the Ghouls rockets?

I'm gonna keep holding out hope until I see something in game (like the Pip-Boy giving us the date). I'm actually guessing the game takes place in 2283.

Ironicaly given the nature of the quests implied by things like the one you saw in the Trailer where you go visit the guys in that Museum are more than just throw away references, and if that was the case the game would more likely start to cover things like
