There are no caps in deadmoney.

The hologram vendors have zero caps so you take thier oldworld money in exchange for all the loot you have to sell. Then when you are done with deadmoney you turn the oldworldmoney in for caps in the mojave.
The vending machines that give you alot of purchaseables take the sierra madre chips. Just have to find all the holotapes to get the good stuff to be purchaseable.

The currency used in Dead Money is Pre-War Money, by the end you should have thousands of it, so don't worry.

Leave room in your backpack for heavy gold bars you can bring back with you to the wasteland :) :whisper:

You CAN bring them all. I've never done this though.

I've also never realized that the holgrams carry Pre-War Money. Damn.

Kind of unfair how to make the most out of DM you need high Barter for Prewar Money, and Strength to haul as much stuff out as possible.

Needs a max Str/Barter build to make the most of it, and lose out on a lot of caps if you play anything else. Can't make up for it with packmule companions like in the main game either.

And? That's not really unfair, that's just realistic. You're not going to be able to run around with 10 gold bars if you've got weak little baby arms.

Eh well. Just nitpicking I guess. Wouldn't want to be playing an agile survivalist marksman type character in DM though.

Max Strength won't do you too much good if you plan on walking out with all 37 Gold Bars at any rate.

I thought I found a few caps on my first run through of Dead Money. Not enough to buy anything but like 12 or something as random box loot. I might be mistaken though. I know I didn't find any on my last run through.
