I bought the fallout trilogy pack

Ok somtimes when I start to play fallout, some wierd colors will pop up on my screen. Like for example the power armored soldier head at the start screen, will somtimes have a few speckles of wierd colors on it. The colors look to be the colors of the rainbow kind of. When I actually load up my saved game, the roofs of some of the houses also look wierd with the funny colors being on them. Anyway have this problem? I don't think it is my comp because I have a pretty good lap top. Also this problem does not spring up ALL the time.. I mean somtimes the game will look and act normally. but these colors distract me and make me not want to play the game.

They should really pin a thread dealing with this problem - there's a new one of someone asking this exact question every few days.

But in short try these things first:
1. set the compatibility mode of the game to 'Windows 95' (right click - options - compatibility tab)
2. set the game colors to 265 (same place)

And that should do it.
If it keeps happening press Alt+Tab twice (to switch to your desktop and back into the game - may need more times if you have other programs running)

Try Win98 compatibility instead...Its possible that FO will complain about missing Win95 service packs.

Try NMA for all the official and unofficial patches, along with the restoration project for FO2 for your second playthrough.
I never have to choose compatibility mode on XP. On Vista I dunno, I don't have them installed.

Try launching the game directly from the folder instead of a short cut.
