How strong is a Bound bow as compared to one you can find or buy? I know it won't have enchantments but is it at least equal to an actual bow in normal damage? I wanna create a assassin with a dagger in one hand and bound bow in the other.

When I used one, it was consistently better than anything I found, so I believe that it scales with your level (damage does not scale with the conjuration spell however, though the damage ia also affected by the relevant weapon skills). I'd say it's about 30-40% better than whatever you are meant to find or buy at that level. This seems to match what most people have reported, and it's good enough to beat the game with.

Bound bow is amazing since it also comes with bound arrows which are equivalent to daedric. It's also better than unimproved daedric weapons if you take the mystic binding perk which gives bound weapons +60% damage.

It won't beat daedric weapons improved with 100+ smithing, but it's close enough unless you seriously want to exploit smithing, and not having to worry about arrows is great. The glow of the arrows also makes finding dead bodies easier.

The spell animation as you cast and equip it is also totally badass.
