Bounded vs normal weapons

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 6:14 pm

I am thinking about creating a fighter character who only fights with a bounded two handed axe. Does anyone have experience with bounded weapons? I've only played as a mage so i'm curious if bounded weapons are any match to normal weapons like: deadric and ebony on later levels.

Thx

Also, you can't poison them, upgrade via smithing, or enchant them. You can use them to easily trap souls. :)

Bound weapons are pretty strong and they're not real weapons so they don't weigh anything. I don't really like the two-handed axe one but mainly because I don't like two handed weapons. If you do use any bound weapons I suggest using the bow as its a weapon for any occasion.

They do pretty good damage, also you can not use the Elemental Fury shout with them(added to list above)

Thx for the quick replies, so with what normal weapons can the bounded weapons be compared to damage wise?

Daedric, as stated above.

There is also a special perk for increasing conjured weapon damage (though i don't know how much, i'm using my conjured sword only to help my atronarch, get the opponents attention or to level conjuration).

Conjured weapons are amazing in my opinion!
You actually CAN apply poison to them, you can use perks to make them more powerful than deadric weapons,
they also get stronger as you level up, they soul trap on any kill AND banish any conjured creatures, with one blow, that your enemy throws at you.
I love the conjured sword and bow, the bow basically gives you infinite arrows which is great. Oh yeah, and they look [censored] awesome.

I dual wield conjured swords - it levels up both conjuration and one handed skills, and benefits from perks from both (armsman, dual flurry, savage strikes, mystic binding, soul stealer etc) Dual wielded power attacks do 225% damage - and x6.0 bonus if used for a sneak attack.

And you can apply poison to them.

At the moment they are far superior to the base ebony swords I'm finding.

Ahh I love the fact that you can apply poison to the weapons! The dual wielding conjured swords sounds really cool too, thx for the info all.
