Bounty Hunter(s)

Post » Thu Oct 13, 2011 8:14 pm

We all know that we ca have a bounty on our heads and that guards will chase us until we leave the town, pay the fine, go to prison or die (story everyone here knows).
So, what interests me here are two things:
1 - Is there a possibility of having bounty hunters tracking us down in order to collect bounty for our heads?
2 - Is there a possibility that we can become a bounty hunter ourselves and hunt down NPCs who have bounties on their heads (it would seem kinda strange that we are only ones who can break the law)?

So, what do you think about these ideas?
Do you like them and what do you think how big chances are that we might see something like this in Skyrim?

I have never heard of that, but it seems like if you do something wrong people will tell guards and they will come after you, you can also hire people to help you and stuff, so maybe someone could hire someone to go kill you? I don't know i haven't heard anything but that would be pretty cool.

Small Spoiler:

You are responsible for your Hirelings. If they commit a crime under your command, you are respnsible for it.

You can see the guards walking Death Row inmates up the streets so probably.

That's the spirit! :D

You're not the only one. ;)
I'm sad that DB is only way of hunting down people for money, and that's why I would like Skyrim to have something like this.
I personally don't RP assassins.

This is a great idea. I'd love to be in the middle of a thieves guild quest, sneaking around someone's house, when in walks a down and dirty Han Solo. "We could do this the easy way or the hard way. Which is it going to be?" he asks while picking his teeth and fingering the pommel of his wicked looking ax. "who are you exactly?" you ask. "you're wanted in Solitude for a sum of 10,000 drakes. That's too good an opportunity for me to pass up." "Solitude?" You ask "What did I ever do in Soli-" you suddenly chuckle remembering the look on the gateguard's face as you galloped out on the Imperial General's horse. "Well, then," you say, "I'm sorry to inform you that there's no way you're taking me anywhere." He reaches for his ax and starts to say "That's too bad. You seem like a nice enough fell-" He stops speaking as the arrow pierces his throat and he coughs up blood all over you as you slice his stomach for 15x damage. He falls to the ground with a metallic thud as your wife steps out from the shadows. Wiping the blood off your leather smock, you turn to your wife and point at your chest: "You're getting this out."

Hehe, that would actually be pretty amusing.
Imagine yourself going to sleep after you secured your lair(?) with runes and then you just hear sounds of flesh being scorched, organs electrocuted and limbs frozen while the screams of agony produced by victims just help you fall asleep with smile on your face. ^_^

Still, I think that there should be some minimal bounty before they start hunting you.
I mean, it would be pretty damn silly if they try to hunt you down even though you have 10 Septims bounty on your head. >_>
~500 minimal bounty should be requirement before bounty hunters start targeting you.
From that point, higher bounty you have, stronger bounty hunters will try to track you down and do it more often.

I loved all the random Talon company appeances! It made me feel like I was a real threat to somebody if they would send mercenary after mercenary just to kill me. I really hope there's all sorts of bounty hunters to hunt both good and bad characters in Skyrim.

Make it like the cops in GTA. if you have a bounty of 300-500 you get a couple of rubbish bounty hunters, if its 500-1000 you get an organised bounty hunter gang and if its 1000+ you get a few gangs all after you, some with trolls some on horseback, some with minataurs etc.
