i think the OP doesnt know anything about bows...

also, the title sounds really... stupid.

"wrong hand"?

last i checked, there WAS no "wrong hand" for bows... or any weapons for that matter, unless they're purposely made for a certain hand by adding a handguard for the left/right hand.

isnt that where the middle finger came from? when archers were taken prisoner their middle fingers would be cut off so they could no longer draw a bow, so at the beginning of a battle each side shoots the bird

this IS one theory, but there are a couple others. It's not something written in stone, but that theory^ (or something similar to it) is what makes the most sense to me.

I learned about it in my European history (1200-present) class... that's why i act like i know but show no evidence, not even unreliable evidence... I'm sure the different theories are somewhere online though. I'm just too lazy.

Although... you can't always trust a professor...

try out archery, it's pretty fun!!! :D IRL.

Oh definitely, anyone who's interested in it should give it a go, it's great fun just to give it a try. I'd have spent more time trying to do it myself but I have arthritis in my shoulders and fingers, and it's not the most forgiving sport for that sort of ailment! Even though I found it painful it was still fun and worth a bash at it.

Closed; to be reviewed.

Leaving this closed before I have to dig deeper and start sending out stern moderator PMs... The subject was beaten to death and there were some repetitive, unnecessary unkind remarks throughout. :stare:
